Try some cd900st with yaxi pads if you can. Cheap good closed back that I can wear for hours on end
If you can find one at a good price I like the cd900st more. I would probably pad swap both of them with yaxi pads as well

Happy days! Got the CD900st based on your review and it is one of my favs.
Sony MDR7506 and CD900st Any audio forum will tell you they are trash and measure horribly. I threw some yaxi pads on and found them to give a pleasant listening experience.
The Yaxi st pad deluxe for the 7506 and the Yaxi pad st2 for the cd900st. The cd900st loses some midrange intimacy but the treble is slightly tamed (still somewhat peaky) and the sound gives a more spacious “speaker” like experience. The 7506 sounds close to stock with the exception that I no longer get treble spikes so this quickly became a staple for me.
sony mdr studio monitor series. I like the 60mm driver magnets better bass
