Sony - WH-1000XM2

Big budget - Sony WH1000XM(x) I still have my original MDR1000x and while the mic leaves a lot to be desired, they're amazing for music and blocking out the outside world. Find a new old stock on sale. Barring that, Bose, Sennheiser, pick your poison/price point, unless you love Apple, then the Airpods Pro2 are amazing for this if you like in-ear. Max if you hate everyone. Airpods4 with ANC are honestly fine for office environments if you have some music going, if you hate over/in ear stuff. If you're on a budget, the Anker ANC stuff is shockingly good for the price, both in sound quality and NC ability. Not 'no music on a plane of crying babies' good, but definitely good enough for an office.

Thats honestly weird. Apple apm, sony whxm, bose qc, sennheiser momnetum/hdb, etc. can all do it. Very common feature for modern headphones in this space :)

XMs aren't sweat-proof, but I've been using them for that purpose for years and they've been fine lol

Najpopularniejsze jakościowe modele z tej półki cenowej to Sony ULT, Sennheiser Accentum Plus, Sennheiser HD 450 BT, JBL Live 770 NC i wymienione Soundcore Space One. Sony od paru lat dominuje jeśli chodzi o jakość ANC, z dźwiękiem - jak kto lubi, bo np. Sony ULT ma ponoć bardzo uwydatnione basy i konkurencja może mieć bardziej wyważone dźwięki. Korzystam z trochę droższego modelu Sony WH-1000, ANC od Sony działa cuda i ratuje mnie od wrzeszczących dzieciaków na placu zabaw, który mam pod samym oknem mieszkania.

The only reason I'm considering upgrading from xm2 is USB c charging. Everything else I own now is USB C

I second the XMs. I have 3s that have lasted me years.

Unless you hate touch controls. I loved the XM series until I tried Bose QC-45 and realized how much I prefer physical buttons.

I like the Sony XM5 better than the Sony XM6, the call quality sounds more real, sound a bit AI in the XM6. And the clamping force in the XM6 is very bad. The XM5 are much better on clamping force and phone calls. Has have the XM5 since they came in may 2022. The XM6 is little better on the ANC i don´t hear so much different in the music quality. and i don´t need to put it in the box, i just have it in a cotton bag never in the original hard case. I have the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 too (best call quality and very easy aware mode or transparency mode with only one buttom to hold in and the music stops and you can hear eveything around you), and the Bose QC ultra (little better music quality than the 700 but worse call quality. Have has the XM2 and the XM4 before (good music quality but poor call quality. I shall sell the Sony XM6.

Not a huge authority on all the noise cancel head phones but my Sony MX series are in my list if most treasued items ever. They have never worked well with my aids. Feed back has always been an issue. You may (if you have minimal work shop skills) try to add a second set of pads on top of the originals, so to thicken the air space inside the cup. I imagine a simple wrap of adhesive tape around the outside would allow for a prototype performance test. Good luck.
