Sony - WH-1000XM2

The only reason I'm considering upgrading from xm2 is USB c charging. Everything else I own now is USB C

I like the Sony XM5 better than the Sony XM6, the call quality sounds more real, sound a bit AI in the XM6. And the clamping force in the XM6 is very bad. The XM5 are much better on clamping force and phone calls. Has have the XM5 since they came in may 2022. The XM6 is little better on the ANC i don´t hear so much different in the music quality. and i don´t need to put it in the box, i just have it in a cotton bag never in the original hard case. I have the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 too (best call quality and very easy aware mode or transparency mode with only one buttom to hold in and the music stops and you can hear eveything around you), and the Bose QC ultra (little better music quality than the 700 but worse call quality. Have has the XM2 and the XM4 before (good music quality but poor call quality. I shall sell the Sony XM6.

I've got Sony XM2's and honestly, they're absolutely brilliant for the price I paid. The actual side folding pieces on the cups are wider than the later models to so gives me more confidence in them staying together. I used these on a 4hr flight and the 4hr flight back, plus a couple days on weekends doing odds and sods for a good number of hours and still had 50% battery left. You can get the app and fine tune your equaliser for your music preferences to. I LOVE music and these make everything I do with them better.

Despite the Sony WH1000XM6's being released, you can still find XM4's on sale for a very good price. I have used the XM2's, 4 and now 6 for my work headphones, sometimes I have them on without any music and just use them to dampen the noise, but the sound quality is also fantastic.

I straight up broke my XM2s when working in a factory wearing them under a hairnet. They turned off and never turned on again. I drowned them in my sweat. Got the xm5 now will not let that happen again

I'm still using xm2. They don't die

No, just using original. Of course it have to be charged more often, but still fine

Probably be downvoted to hell by people who think they know something I don’t, but I’ve been using Sony XM3s for like 5 years, and before that XM2s.   Bluetooth connection. Super comfortable. Great sound and spacial awareness. Decent battery. No noticeable delay.  I use a higher quality desktop mic. Excellent middle of the road setup. 

ım thinking like this about my xm2 , yesterday I bougth xm4 but I didn't liked after xm2. I give xm4 to my girl friend, I want try xm3

They just keep working. I charge them once a week or less, so not many cycles accumulated

I'm still on xm2 and I remember 3 and 4 weren't that much better. So a bit of math, xm6 is also not much better than 2 lol. I will just grind it until it stops working and then buy newest ones.  At the end of the day, they are just a headphones.

Strange, I often wear them while riding a bike on rough roads, they've never fallen. But maybe I have a big brain.
