I've used the Sony model MDR-100abn since ~2017, almost daily. They have been through mud, rain, drops, banging around in my bags, everything, and keep trucking along. They've been to three continents and like eight countries. The battery life is still perfectly fine. I've replaced the pads twice. Once I dropped them in the mud and it completely caked up the USB port, but I blasted it out with Deoxit and they've been fine. I will definitely get Sony again when these... if these ever die.
I've had mine 3 years and have no issues w padding or hinges and I use them every night bc my wife works nights so when she isn't at work she stays up much later than I do. Also you can replace both hinges and padding for less money than buying a new pair. I have a pair of WH-H900N for the last ~ decade and other than the padding needing replaces Ive never had an issue and this pair traveled all over the world with me, until I got my 4's.
Used many headphone including Sennheiser, Bose, Audio Technica etc but my go to for long mobile daily use is Sony WH-H900N. They are big but are very comfortable as they don't touch my big ears, don't overheat my ears or head, and sound great. The noise cancelling is very good and the swipe controls work great. They don't make them anymore but you can still find them on ebay for \~$40. The ear muffs can be replaced and after market ones are on ebay and amazon.
Been using the Sony MDR MV1s with the Fosi Audio K7 DAC - never going back to Sony H9s
Sony h9's are fully integrated(when you adjust the volume you'll see the volume level on screen), have noise canceling, and the battery lasts forever. Oh, and they're comfortable and wireless.
Bought some Sony WH-900s for $120 5 years ago and they’re quite good, I travel with them regularly and they haven’t given me any issues, noise canceling works pretty well. Not an audiophile so I can’t speak to sound quality really but they bump and sound good to me, I’m satisfied with the purchase.
