Hello reader, I used to have a HyperX Cloud Revolver S, I loved this headset because I could wear it for 12 hours and not feel a thing (and because it survived for 8 years of intense usage). Right now I have a Sony WH-XB910N but I want to sell it since the headset is just too tight around my ears and even causes my jaw to hurt when I wear it for too long. I've come to the conclusion the issue is the size of my head lol. I have really tried to get used to the Sony headset but it doesn't seem to be possible for me. Anyone else with the same issue that is able to give me advice for a new headset? I mostly listen to drum and bass, so good lows are a top priority for me next to the comfort. Thanks in advance for your answer!
The Sony XB are great for rock music limp bizkit sounds fanrastic on my old XB 910’s
okok, i have different types of headphones that I use for different things. I live with tinnitus and hyperacusis, plus I can't do anything without listening to music because it helps me focus, so, with that being said, here are my recomendations: 1. Airpods pro.- Great for outdoor activities. The noise cancelling feature is great and music quality on Apple Music is AMAZING. 2. Sony WHXB910N.- Great for indoor activities, music, movies, videos, etc. I live in a pretty loud neighborhood and they fit great. Noise cancelation is actually better because they cover my whole ears and Airpods are great, but sometimes they hurt if I use them for a long period of time. Sony's battery is amazing because one charge can last for like 1-2 weeks. 3. Logitech Zone Vibe 100.- Great for remote work calls. They have a cool microphone and they sound great and work very well for online calls. 4. I also use the regular Earpods for sleeping (white noise), but I'm looking for new ones because the size of the headphone is pretty uncomfortable for sleeping. Hope this helps! Sorry if it's too much info.
My sony one also broke randomly after 2 years, I use the bose one since 4 years and must admit I liked the sony better, but I use those at least 4 hours a day with no problem. I dont relate with the creaking issue with any of those, maybe she had a defect one. Anyway one important thing to note for noise sensitivity, whichever headphones you choose, is that you can change the ear pads, and you should do it regularly, my experience is every year, or sooner if you notice you are hearing too much around you. 5 minutes work, not hard to do (on the bose one at least, on the sony I didnt do it). Because it degrades slowly you dont notice how much better it was before. Also you can, and should, set the noise canceling rate, and for me only maximal is acceptable.
My two picks are Sennheiser HD 4.4 and the Sony WHXB910N May cost a bit of change but the sound quality is amazing.
Sonys have lost their plot I had xb910n spent 12k on them and a 1.5k kz castor outperforms them!
Damn the down votes, sony fans are hurt. See man i cant speak for soundcore, but being a former sony fan, I am disappointed where sony is heading. Sonys are not worth it brother, the brand is headed towards doom. First of all you are paying for the brand logo and not the sound quality. Plus majority of the features that sony offers are useless and it gets irritating over time. Second ANC. If you are buying sony for their ANC brother don't. I had xb910n and it had shit ANC. I thought ANC would not affect the sound quality, but it drastically altered the sound, making the experience much worse. On top of that, the noise cancellation was pretty pathetic. Not much difference with or without noise cancellation. Third uncomfortable fitting and ear heating up Fourth Quality issues, with the sony xm5 xm6 and ult series, there have been nonstop complaints form the users about poor build quality with headphones breaking at hinge, as soon as 2-3 months of usage. And major reason sound quality, I went to reliance digital and I tested my Kz Castor bass version with the sony xm 5 and to my surprise the sound quality of the iem was way better compared to a headphone retailing at 20x the price of iem, infact the seal of iem is more than enough to isolate noise. So in short you will be wasting your money and 720n is a very old model and sonys are known for not reducing their prices, so you are paying more for a headphone as for 2025 standards.
OP check out [these Roseselsa headphones](https://conceptkart.com/collections/roseselsa/products/roseselsa-cambrian-over-ear-wireless-headphones) . You can also look for Kiwiears and Fiio headphones at HeadphoneZone.com. And I also recommend you to check out edifier headphones in amazon. I personally love the edifier speakers. Never tried headphones tho but it might be a steal for the price.
LOS ÚLTIMOS DE SONY SON LOS [ULT WEAR](https://www.sony.es/headphones/products/ult-wear?sku=whult900nw.ce7), PERO EN ESTE FORO SE VEN UN MONTÓN DE CASOS QUE SE LES ROMPE LA DIADEMA AL IGUAL QUE LOS XM5. YO TENGO SU VERSIÓN ANTERIOR, LOS [XB910N](https://www.sony.es/electronics/diadema/wh-xb910n). LOS TENGO VARIOS AÑOS Y SIGUEN IGUAL DE NUEVOS. ESTOS INCLUSO OFRECEN UN MAYOR RANGO DE FRECUENCIAS. AMBOS TIENEN LDAC Y BASTANTES GRAVES.
VAMOS POR PARTES: 1: NO SE SI EXISTA UN BOOSTEADOR DE VOLUMEN PARA APPLE PERO PODRÍAS BUSCAR. USANDO LINUX EN LA COMPU LOS PUEDES SUBIR HASTA UN 150% DEL VOLUMEN PARA CUALQUIER AUDÍFONO, ALGO ASÍ COMO LO QUE HACE VLC. 2: SIP, YO USO 2 EQS, LOS DE LA APP DE SONY Y EL DE POWER AMP PARA MEJORAR LA CURVA DE FRECUENCIAS DE MIS AUDÍFONOS. 3: O SEA ESA ES LA TEORÍA DE QUE ES MEJOR BAJAR EL RESTO DE FRECUENCIAS PARA QUE SE ESCUCHA ALGUNA OTRA, AUNQUE YO PREFIERO SUBIR LA QUE QUIERO SIBIR JAJA. 4: PUEDES COMPRAR UN BUEN DAC, QUE TENGA UNA BUENA AMPLIFICACIÓN. PUEDES COMENZAR CON EL DONGLE-DAC DE APPLE TAL QUE CONECTADOS POR CABLE TE MANDE MÁS POTENCIA A TUS AUDÍFONOS, QUE ES LO QUE USUALMENTE PASA CUANDO SE LOS USA POR CABLE Y ENCENDIDOS. 5: SI CON LOS ULT-WEAR NO TE ES SUFICIENTE LOS BAJOS, CON LOS XM6 MENOS PUES EN ALGÚN LADO LEÍ QUE CON LOS BAJOS AL MÁXIMO LLEGAN AL 60% DE BAJOS DEL OTRO. 6: OTRA ALTERNATIVA ES CONSIDERAR USAR UN IEM DEDICADO A LOS GRAVES COMO CUALQUIERA DE [ESTOS 3](https://youtu.be/acnb6fx7aJg?si=3pv_60OEJt_U1TZG) O EL [FF HBB DEUCE](https://youtu.be/fCXaz9VNsoo?si=DTf9B6QLc1Ond7Ar) SI NO TE IMPORTA GASTAR MÁS, PERO HASTA VIENE CON UN ADAPTADOR PARA TENER AÚN MÁS GRAVES. DE LOS 3 1ROS, AUNQUE BULTOSOS, EL DECET ES EL QUE MÁS GRAVES TIENE PERO EL DUONIC HASTA OFRECE LA OPCIÓN DE UN CABLE CON DAC CON UNA OPCIÓN DE BASS BOOST. ESTOS LOS PUEDES USAR CON EL MISMO DONGLE-DAC DE APPLE QUE LES DARÍA MÁS POTENCIA IGUAL, PERO SI ADICIONALMENTE CONSIGUES EL [KZ AN01](https://kz-audio.com/kz-an01.html) LOS PUEDES USAR INALÁMBRICAMENTE CON LDAC SI NO QUIERES CABLES Y APARTE TE BRINDA CANCELACIÓN DE SONIDO (AUNQUE NO HA DE SER LA MEJOR). FUENTE: A MI TAMBIÉN ME GUSTAN LOS BAJOS.
I wear glasses, and own/use my Crusher ANC 2's. I can relate to the previous person about the clamping force and audio leakage capacity affected by the glasses. I love these headphones, tho - the baby blue color, the aesthetics of the design, the sound is so crisp and clear, great ANC, battery lasts seemingly decently, I'm heard over the phone and in Zoom meetings clearly...but I live with chronic pain, and they weigh a lot, these are my heaviest headphones of which I currently own 5, including Sony's XM4, Sony's XB910, Soundcore Q35, and Bose QuietComfort. Their weight adds to the chronic pain I have in my neck and shoulders, so I'll need to take breaks from them. But it SUCKS, man, cuz that SOUND is just *chef's kiss*. And the bassss is wild. I wanted them enough to not return. 🤷🏻♂️ https://preview.redd.it/cbng9q4gx8pf1.jpeg?width=1836&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2cb7163b914da8b1db4ea95a3aaffc1fa561bffe
