Ear buds. Provided that they have active noise cancelling. Even if you planned to use them throughout the trip, I'd still go with the ear buds. Unless you find them terribly uncomfortable, it's the way to go to save space. I'm not an audiophile, so I tend to use cheaper stuff. Several years ago I got some Anker Soundcore Life Q20 over-the-ear headphones. The active noise cancelling was a godsend on flights. But then last year I got a pair of Anker Soundcore Space A40 ear buds. These don't isolate sound quite as well, but the ANC is still good enough on a flight to be able to hear the audio without cranking the volume. I swapped out the standard tips for foam ones, which are more comfortable and seem to help with noise isolation. They take up so little space, I rarely ever bring the over-the-ear headphones anywhere anymore.

I usually use my Bluetooth Soundcore Life Q20 when I’m at the office for meetings and phone calls.

I've been happy with Soundcore q20 and Soundcore q35. Both on Amazon for fair prices. https://a.co/d/f43t2sK https://a.co/d/0uzonED I bought q20 on Amazon after my husband lost his job and was home, while I work from home. I got the q35 off of shopgoodwill.com because I liked that it could connect to 2 devices at once. I use both interchangeably.

What’s your budget? In the sub-$100 range, the Anker Soundcore models are great. Several models at different price levels but even the low end QL20s have good noise canceling. (All seem to be on sale at Amazon for Prime Day right now!) What you get at different price points is various features, additional modes, and better audio quality. I have used the QL20s for years, and they’ve improved since I got mine. Noise canceling is quite good, and the audio quality is good but not going to please serious audiophiles. For streaming audio, podcasts, videos, things like that, they’re fine. Comfort is good. They’re light and can be worn for hours at a time. Battery life is good too. The higher end makes and models such as Bose will usually have more features, better materials, and better audio quality. They’re not worth the expense for me; I have other headphones I use for “serious” audio and playing/recording music.

I use Soundcore Life Q20 for work because of the noise cancelling. They sound amazing and can't hear a thing that's going on around me. They are comfortable enough that most of the time I just have them on without sound going through them and only really use them for the sound cancelling.

Anker Soundcore Life Q20. They are dirt cheap, the sound quality is excellent, and the battery lasts a long time. I had to buy a new pair recently because my SO commandeered my old pair

That’s true because big brands like Sony or Bose definitely have strong support, but lately I’ve noticed some mid-range options catching up fast. I picked up the Soundcore Noise Cancelling Headphones a few months ago and honestly didn’t expect them to be this good for under $150, that\`s really great option for everyday use. Build quality’s solid, ANC is surprisingly close to the XM5s, and battery life is insane. Here’s the one I got on Amazon: [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DLKB5V35](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DLKB5V35) Not an ad but just sharing in case you want to save a bit and still get something reliable. Good to you!

I have the [Soundcore Life Q20 headphones](https://www.soundcore.com/products/a3025). They are great headphones, especially for the price. The sound quality is great, they're comfortable to wear (even with glasses), and they block out most noise. I don't know if they block as much noise as the more well-known, expensive brands, but I would definitely recommend them.

Here's a link to the ones I got this year. I wore them on a 5 hr flight to listen to an audiobook and it was fabulous!!! The noise cancelation was perfect and I could hear the book without blaring the sound!! I've been really happy with these. https://a.co/d/47orZW1

I agree! The Soundcore Anker Life Q20 Hybrid is the over the ear headphones I bought. 1st pair I’ve ever bought, and I like them well enough! They definitely make my world less noisy, but don’t completely cancel out the noise, even though they’re noise cancelling headphones. For example… I can’t hear the tv when it’s on in the other room at all, but I can hear the lawnmower outside. Battery life is great, and they’re Bluetooth as well. I wanted to try them out, before buying some crazy expensive brand, just to see if the peace and quiet actually made a difference in my anxiety levels. It helps!
