i got the arctis nova 7x gen 2 they look very minimalistic and are good and comfy but like 200$ or smth maybe the nova 5 are a good choice
Hello! You get diminishing returns very quickly, so it depends what you value. At the $200 range, Nova 7 Gen 2 and Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 are the best picks for FPS. The Blackshark V3 Pro (newest version) has some improvements at the $250 range like ANC and simultaneous BT which is nice. It can also save multiple on board EQ profiles. For $300 and FPS, I still think the Astro A50 Gen 5 is an amazing option, and still my go to. The stock pads are a little small, but I made my own called the StealthZ pad, sold by WickedCushions. The A50 Gen 5 takes full parametric EQ and has a class-leading mic and bass response. It handles EQ really well. The Nova Pro Wirless is still a great option to this day, but the mic performance is just okay, and as you said, EQ is more limited but still very capable. Overall I think you'd be performing at a very similar level with any of these. It comes down to preference on design and features. Nova Pro has leatherette pads and ANC with more isolation, whereas the A50 is very open sounding (does not block external noise).
Maxwells would be a perfect upgrade if you like the cloud 2s. I went from cloud 2s to nova 7+ to the maxwells and the maxwells are easily the best
I use the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless Gen 2. They’re comfortable to wear and have decent sound and battery life. The app is solid, especially with its variety of game-specific sound presets. Also, the dual-device connectivity (via Bluetooth and the USB dongle on my PS5) isn't strictly a necessity, but it’s definitely a 'nice-to-have' feature. Since mentioned Nova Pro Wireless considered as even more advanced option it definetely has to be a good choice.
We have this one https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-nova-7-gen-2?color=black And the Pro. https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-nova-pro After further discussion in the house the consensus is the 7X is better in general but the Pro with noise cancelling and a PC connected DAC sounds much better.
My husband and I both love our Steel Series Arctis Novas! We have the 7X Gen 2. Bought them based on a recommendation from a guy at Microcenter after my (third) Razer headset gave out, and I could not be happier. The employee told us he’s had almost every version of the SS headsets and has never been disappointed, and I totally believe it.
