I have a Arctis Nova Pro Wireless header that I bought refurbished almost 2 years ago. 2 years may not be a lot, but I use them a ton for work and pleasure, at least 8-10 hours a day during the week, probably a couple hours on the weekend. It's technically a gaming headset, but I use it mostly for work and music. They're a solid 8/10. Retail price is about $350 (I got them for like $120 on eBay) and the sound quality is shit for that price point. It's fine, but there's a lot of low end missing. You can change out the ear pads and it has hot swappable batteries.I usually have to change the battery every day and a half. The other negative is it only has a directional microphone on a retractable boom, so you have to have it out in front of your face to talk. If it had an omni-directional mic that you could use with the mic retracted, it would be fantastic. I don't mind the mic when I'm at my desk, but I don't want it out when I'm out of the house or on a plane or something. Pros are the batteries and the fact it can connect to two devices simultaneously (actually 4, kinda). I have it connected to my personal PC and my work laptop. I can take calls on my work computer and can have music/whatever on my PC without changing inputs. I can also connect my work phone to my work computer and my personal phone to my PC and talk calls from those through the computer and thus, my headset, so 4 devices simultaneously without switching inputs. Super convenient when you're at your desk all day. If they could get Bose quality sound and an omni-directional mic, these would be $500 headphones and I would 100% pay for it.

Yep pretty much. I had a pair of original a40s I bought for my Xbox 360 that still to this day work. They are worn as hell and look terrible but they still function flawlessly. I decided I was so happy with the longevity of those that I deserved to get myself a50s. 3 replacements later for the last one to break as well I just ate my losses and bought a pair of Steelseries Arctis Nova pro wireless (I think that’s the name.. lol) and I absolutely love them. I see them lasting just as long as my a40s did. I think I got a grand total of 8-10 weeks worth of use between the 3 pairs of a50s I had.

SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Gaming Headset https://share.google/bSLPelkgJjWsyx1Te I’ve bought and tried almost every high dollar ($100-$300 Range) headset you can think of, and the Steel Series Arctis Nova Pro is the best one. What make it stand out to me is it comes with a 2nd battery that charges up in the base so you just take a magnetic cover off and swap the batteries out to have a fully charged headset in seconds. Sound quality is great as well as mic… Plus it has sidetone so you can hear yourself and anything outside of the headset.

I have that one as well, it is a very good headset, but upgrading to the Pro was worth it for spare battery that can be swapped out in seconds!

Just my two cents owning both the original Maxwell and the Nova Pro. Maxwells sounds great but the weight of them became uncomfortable after a period of time. For me a half hour or so. For addition weight added to them really made it a no brainer to pass. Again sounds great, limited connections, passable mic.

Just a comfort for me. Maxwell ones sounded great but again, way too heavy to wear for a long time. I can wear the novas all day. It’s a different sound signature it’s not like at the end of the day you have a way worse headphone. Comfort first! Favorite headphones are the focal bathys.

I will never understand how anyone could like anything Steel Series for headsets specifically for Xbox. I’ve gone through several of them, from the lower end models to the Nova Pro wireless. The wireless dongle that connects to the Xbox has difficulty with staying connected. I’ve learned after so much frustration that these headsets for whatever reason, have issues with the frequency of elite controllers and steel series xbox headsets. It’s even more of an issue when utilizing Discord VC directly through Xbox. Everyone I play with who had a steel series has the same issues with Discord where your mic just cuts out for no reason. Swapped to Astro A50 X. Never had that problem again.

I have the wireless nova pros and I absolutely love them. I just tweaked the eq based on this YouTube guys settings and wow they’re even better. Bit pricey but as long as you take care of them, they’re great.

No such thing as BIFL gaming headsets but my first SteelSeries lasted me 6 years and still works, but I wanted to upgrade to the Nova Pro Wireless for the battery swap feature (infinite power). That feature alone is worth it. You never run out of battery because while one is in use in the headset, the other one is charging in the dock. If you run out, you switch them and you’re good to go. Sound is great.

I love my nova pro wireless. It does standard lossless via the dac for music. And with its software, has presets for many games. The leather cups are great but don’t fit well on my ears so I got cushion ones from Amazon and they work perfect for long periods 12+ hours. Battery lasts 10+ hours and the dac has a built in battery charger

It is very convenient. And yes I’d suggest getting extra batteries if you get them. I notice the dac charges it way faster than a cable also. The software in general works. The only thing I don’t like about the software is you need an account to unlock its full potential. No connection issues unless you’re standing next to a microwave. The 2.4ghz mode has either a fast mode or a long range mode. So there’s options there, and since it has 2 outputs I have one on my ps and the other on pc and the switching is seamless right away but cannot play both simultaneously, that’s probably the only thing that “would be nice” to have. But you can play bt audio while you’re connected to wireless like id listen to podcasts from my phone while im gaming etc. Also the anc is pretty optimal, I’d compare it to AirPods Pro 2s. More on the software, if you’re using on Mac, the Mac software version is somewhat limited on features that would be readily available on windows. I can’t really recall what they specifically were
