I personally just got the Audeze Maxwell, which are essentially a hybrid between gaming and audiophile. They’re closed backs, but they still sound great. I agree that it’s important to take a step away from these overpriced “gaming” headsets that are really just garbage. My previous headset was the Arctis Pro Wireless, which was inferior in every regard, and it was *still* more expensive than the Maxwell’s. Really goes to show how poisonous gaming branding is.

I’ve had the blackshark v2 pro for like 3 years now (it replaced my wireless arctic pro 7, which had a worse mic imo) and love it. Like a lot of ppl here I use a separate mic for my voice BUT the mic is surprisingly good for a wireless headset. I had no idea it was that good either until a friend asked me about the quality and it dawned on me I never used it. He said (let me preface this by saying most of our friends use high quality desktop arm mics) it sounds like a cheaper desktop mic (not a bad thing at all!), but better than what we would normally expect from a headset mic. Comfort wise it also has great breathable cushions, I hated the ski goggle strap that my arctis came with. I generally get fatigued wearing any headset, between it squeezing my fatass head and the weight, can get uncomfortable, so I’m in the process of getting gaming earbuds (arctic gamebuds)

Steel series arctic pro wireless has lasted me years, batteries can be finicky sometimes but that’s it

For me it'd be a toss up between the steel series Arctis Pro Wireless or the Razer Kraken V4 Pro Wireless.

I use the Arctis Pro Wireless from Steelseries for a few Years now. It’s probably not be the best in Sound Quality and definitely lacks in Microphone Quality. But the Sound Quality sounds good enough, atleast for me and I love that with the „Docking Station“ ( I don’t know how it’s really called ) I always have a fully Charged spare battery, so downtime is only like 5 Seconds to switch Battery’s.

I had an arctis pro wireless for years and that thing was really well put together, no clue about the newer model. I loved the hot swappable battery - it was surprisingly clever and easy to work with I only stopped using it because the charging station stopped charging and I like new and shiny

Your criteria need to be... \- Dynamic drivers \- No battery \- Wired with a removable cable \- Sturdy construction \- No pleather \- Designed for repairability, with easy disassembly Maybe consider the Meze 99 Classics V2? Great headphone, affordable, should last forever if you take care of it. Only thing it's missing is that the headphone does use pleather, which does wear down over time. But I don't know of any in this price bracket that do use genuine leather and the pleather is replacable on the 99 classics. If wireless is a must consider the Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless. While they do not fit many of the criteria above, you can swap out the pads and headband as needed, and most importantly the battery is replacable, so you can make them last forever by swapping out the batteries if you ever experience any issues.
