Recon 70

I have these exact headphones that I use on console. Affordable, comfortable, clear sound and plug right into my controller. Headset won’t run out of battery until my controller does.

Dude, I legit have only used Turtle Beach Recon X70's for so long. 40 bucks every 3ish years is fine by me and always has been. I've very picky when it comes to how headsets feel and audio quality. I tried Astro A10's and hated them. I tried other "higher end" Turtle Beaches and hated them. I also don't have the luxury of buying high end headphones and the fact the X70's have a flip to mute mic, give good audio, feel comfortable to wear and don't give me issues until I need a new headset just makes my life so much easier.

Bruh, I used a cheap turtle beach Recon 70 set for a long time and had zero issues. They were light, clear, comfortable, and the mic sounded really good. I also really like the cheap AKG ear buds. They just sounded good. Crap mic, tho. I just bought a more expensive wireless headset with more features and they're nice but not life changing. A marginal upgrade. That old wired set was a soldier. Use what fits you and what you like.

i reckon cheap shit for gaming. turtle beach recon 50xs are like 30-40 dollars and have a mic that works with xbox so you can chime in. they sound fine. lighter than the recon 70x which i had to modify to make comfortable. for personal headphones tho, Sony XM4s are apparenlty the best. I liked my beats studio 3s more, but they sound worse and kept breaking on the hinges. you can still use an aux in to an xbox controller with either tho

My Turtle Beach Recons ($25) lasted me like 8 years

Like 5+ year old turtle beach’s 😂 They are falling apart but they are the best for directional sound

Yeah I got the recons Paid £15 for them I did but some new razr headphones but honestly I refer the recons still

People do put the Turtle Beach headsets down but if you aren’t looking to spend $200 or so the TB 70 is actually a really good cheaper option , with the right audio settings I have zero issues hearing footsteps and which direction they’re coming from
