I used HD25's for over a decade until I recently purchased V-Modas and I love them. They get as loud and are more comfortable. Plus I think theyre better for my ears... I can use them for a long time at high volumes and my ears don't ring as much as Sennheisers on ear design did

A controversial opinion but the V-Moda m100 with the added large ear cusions, they aren't for everyone because they are bass heavy but I own a pair and I really like them. If you order from Amazon and dont like them they are usually decent about returns. Sennheiser is also very solid but some models can be a bit neutral.

I don’t. I used to bring my Vmoda M100 and clip it to my bag but now it’s just my AirPods

I currently use 2 pairs of headphones. I used the HD-25s for gigging, they’re basically u breakable and super loud so they’re good for club environments and such. My other pair and the one I’d recommend for what you demand is the V-Moda Crossfade series. I personally have the M-100, it’s a great sounding pair of headphones and I’ve had them for years and still haven’t had any trouble with them apart from replacing the earcups recently.

Gaming headsets are scamm. Change my mind . Im rolling with the vmoda crossfade m100 master with fiio k5 pro , and the crossfade m100 was my first in 2018 , thats still working nicely at my friend. I Love that brand

Every single person in this sub will recommend you HD25s, which is a good choice but it shouldn't be applicable to you since you're specifically looking for over ear. I'd highly recommend the v-moda Crossfade LP2 or M-100s. I've had mine for 7 years, just replaced the ear cups and they're back to being mint

This has been my experience with headphones after 8 years Started with HD25 - Got rid of them after a few months. The audio quality of them really isn’t that good compared to others out there. They are very harsh and they don’t have very good isolation. Meaning in a loud club you have to crank them very loud to be actually able to hear things. Moved to some Audio Technica ATHM50X They were a lot more comfortable and had a lot better audio quality and isolation. Especially the bass/kick. You could actually hear the pump in a club or festival. only downside is they twist and move. Used these for 3 years Moved to V-Mode Crossfade M100 Master in 2019 Never looked back. Easily the best audio quality out of any “DJ” headphone i’ve used (yes there are better studio and audiophile headphones in-terms of quality but they aren’t “DJ” headphones) Amazing isolation and noise cancellation meaning you don’t need to crank them loud in a club - meaning you don’t damage your hearing. Light and compact. No bend or twist headphone design. Come with a small solid hard drop proof carry case. I’ve tried some IEMs and they are good but not for me. Custom molded IEMs from say Shure or Ultimate would be 100x better in terms of isolation and noise cancellation but you’re looking at a much higher cost and IEMs aren’t comfortable for everyone. I currently use the V-Moda Crossfade 100m and have for 6 years. Believe Martin Garrix, Chainsmokers and Dimitri Vegas/LikeMike rocks these too Source: Touring DJ

If you haven’t picked one yet, I’d recommend the V-Moda M100 Master. It’s super durable, folds down into a compact form, and has a detachable 3.5mm cable, so replacing it is a breeze. It’s also pretty popular, which means replacement ear pads are easy to find from third-party sellers. I’ve had mine for years, and it’s still holding up strong. The sound remains accurate and detailed, yet smooth and never harsh. Unlike other headphones that get uncomfortable at high volumes, these can handle the loud levels without becoming unbearable.

I use the V-Moda Crossfade 3 Wireless and will eventually get something like the Beyerdynamic Aventho 300's. I prefer a nice Bluetooth wireless headphone to use for personal use that I can also plug a cable in for DJing. Don't fuss too much over headphones, everyone here is just recommending the first pair they bought. Highly doubt anyone has thoroughly tested multiple pairs. The first "DJ" headphones I got were some pioneer pair that I hated, then I got the V-Moda M-100's. Then the Crossfade 2's, and now the 3's. I'd get the 4's if they didn't get bought out. So I'm switching to Beyerdynamic because I like the brand and have headphones from them that I use with my PC.
