Holy shit that’s a brand I have not heard of in years. I remember getting a pair of those in college in 2015 and the sound was absolutely incredible.

This is so funny to me. I was an head-fi audiophile before I was a DJ, and sometimes I forget that not everyone interested in audio has an encyclopedic knowledge of headphones. V-Moda is a solid recommendation IMO. Extremely good isolation, the build quality is great and their recent magnetic pads make replacement a breeze. Really my only complaint with them is the exposed interconnect wire between the cups and the band. I really wish that was internally routed, but I suppose it would be difficult to pull off their hinge design and internally route the interconnect. I'd also recommend looking into the Koss Pro4s if you need something a bit more budget. Beyerdynamic can be a bit controversial :) They are /bright/. I love them, swear by my DT-990s, but I've found a lot of younger listeners hate that sound signature.

I’ve been using a pair of V-Modas for about 8-9 years. I think the model I have is called the Crossfade Wireless, but they still work wired with a 3.5mm jack just fine, and they have plenty of other wired models. I’ve had to replace the cord once and I change the foam ear cups about once every 2 years. They’re pricey, and are mainly marketed as DJ/music producer headphones, but they are great for gaming, and I’d say I got my money’s worth after nearly a decade of use.

Literally just opened mine like 10 minutes ago, they sound pretty good but I have a habit of wearing my headphones to death, since I wear them probably more than 50% of the time. How has yours held up to use? My last headphones were a set of Vmoda Crossfade wireless and I had to upgrade since over the last two+ years the spring steel band snapped in them from fatigue putting them on and taking them off

I have had Master and dynamic, Sony qc, Microsoft surface, v-moda etc. All are pretty good choice. M&D you pay a premium for but get excellent sound quality, I loved my surface headphones but also didn't pay for them, Sony are nice and comfortable and for a good audio at more digestible price the v-moda are good.

Are you looking for a corded headphone or Bluetooth? For corded I really like the DT770’s or vmoda crossfades. The DT 770’s have a more flat EQ curve, the vmoda’s are a little bit more bass heavy and sound excellent to my ear. For noise canceling Bluetooth I have the sennheiser HD 450bt (also has a headphone jack if you’re looking to be able to do both)

If youre looking for over the ears, id recommend Vmoda crossfade. Ive had my pair since 2017 and theyre still kicking. Theyre super well built. Ive had to replace the ear foam a few times but they have been great to me.

I've been really happy with them. They were my daily drivers for years. Jobsite, gym, travel, gaming, you name it. I cant speak highly enough of them.
