If I were you I'd look at a refurbished benq gamer direct from benq with 1 year warranty. I got a th671st from them for 500 a few years back , Gaming g pj with low lag. By the way if your just playing solo or couch you don't need crazy low lag , just necessary for serious online gaming. Not sure what the input lag are for the very cheap Chinese stuff but my guess is not good.
r/projectors • The cheapest projector with low input lag ->I have the th671st with a similar screen size. It definitely needs to be mounted at 9ft (2.8m) to fill the screen. I also thought I could get away with mounting it closer and just zoom but did not work out.
r/Golfsimulator • Projector help ->BenQ Th575 (Best option for your budget IMO and will look better than the 671st because it can get brighter and has a better color wheel arrangement. It also Has a "fast mode" which in my opinion makes motion very clear. With the extra peak lumens you can also run it permanently in Smart Eco mode to extend lamp life. This is what I do on the 685p) BenQ Th685p(or non p or i variant are fine as well faster refresh than 575 but slightly lower lumens) Both are great Options. I'd grab the 575 if you can. I wouldn't use any of the ones you listed other than the 671st as they use LCD's. IMO LCD's look really bad and are prone to burn in. I would just avoid them at all costs especially when I know there are other options. Go for DLP IMO. For the best simple out of the box colors do color profile game and then in advanced settings go to temperature and set blue gain to 110 on the cool profile. The Dangbei is DLP but the brightness is quite bad. The 2 projectors I linked have around 3x the brightness and I think you'd be really disappointed with it especially for the price. The two Projectors I linked aren't small but they also aren't massive. Only around 6 pounds and could easily fit in a backpack. As someone who's first projector was an LCD don't do it. It's just not worth it. DLP is the way lamp or laser lit. Lamp for now is better in your price bracket though. Lasers are just way too dim even in light controlled environments imo.
r/budgetprojectors • Best projector for dim rooms within a given budget ->Would be the upper limit and may need to go refurbished or used but check out TH671ST. It is short throw so specifically designed to make a big image in small rooms and also has some gaming features. Not high end gaming but good given your budget.
r/budgetprojectors • Looking for recommendations for a home theatre/gaming in a small room. ->Equipment I’m using is a 8ft by 10ft Go Sport enclosure and impact screen, monster golf mat, BenQ TH671ST projector, IPad Air to run the software and connected to the projector, Square Golf launch monitor. First Impression of Square Golf launch monitor is it’s very light, compact, and super easy to set up. Took me less then 5 minutes to set up and getting it up and running. Graphics are nice in my opinion. The numbers with actual name brand balls were pretty close to that of high end launch monitors at the PGA superstore. Downside in my opinion is it feels very cheap and fragile. After my start up was complete. First thing I did was compare a brand new Titleist pro v 1 to the Square golf SaintNine golf ball that was included in the box. Using a pitching wedge. On the course I usually get 125-130 yards total and around 7-8k spin for reference. The SaintNine golf ball numbers was super low. I was getting an average of 10 shots 109 yards and high 6k spin average . With the Titleist pro v 1 is average of 10 shots 126 yards and upper 7k rpm spin average. For the most part of love it so far. Please take my words with a grain of salt. This was just a quick testing to try out. Once I move my simulator to a new spot in the room and ceiling mount my projector. I give a full review. I didn’t take pictures with everything hooked up. It just looks sloppy and unorganized. But just to give people an idea in room that might be similar to there’s. I’ve provided some pics.
r/Golfsimulator • Square golf mini review. Full review will com later once I’ve moved and set up my simulator at a new location in the room. ->I went with the BenQ I went a step or 2 down from you’d and I love it it’s bright responsive and it’s not graphically stretched like some of the others I’ve seen
r/Golfsimulator • Choosing the right short throw Projector ->I would say watch reputable YouTube channels like TheHookUp. If they end up giving a budget projector a good review then I don’t know who could argue with it. But I certainly would not just accept five star Amazon reviews for any “budget” projector purchasing decisions. I paid $600 four years ago for my factory refurbished BenQ TH671ST and I am very happy with it.
r/projectors • Hate for the budget projectors ->Interesting. So I guess you also have to consider everyone who comes over for big tv night. They might see the rainbow effect too. I have a BenQ TH671ST which I love and I have never noticed it on the screen but if I quickly look at the actual projector from the side I can see a flash of RGB. I have had probably 8 people over to watch movies and no one has mentioned seeing anything weird yet. I’ll have to google this and read more.
r/projectors • Bought an expensive and a cheap projector. Time to see which one I keep ->Get on eBay and buy a used benq th671st. I paid £400 and worth every penny. I’d definitely want short throw so you can fully fill out the screen it makes it way more immersive. I
r/Golfsimulator • To all my fellow golf simmers on a serious budget, what's the cheapest projector you are getting away with? ->+1 my 671 is 10 get from my 7.5x10 gosporta screen. Works very well and I set the resolution on the windows desktop. Right click and set screen resolution. I found one refurbished certified on eBay when a2yr warranty for $500 USD
r/Golfsimulator • Choosing the right short throw Projector ->Benq 671st. 1080 will fill that screen at about 9-10ft https://preview.redd.it/d9lj69rwi5yf1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5bfe7eae8d028b82f38f6ef6f208f47be8a063a1 I'm about 8.5 ft from the screen. Projector is pretty much above me. Screen is 7.5x10. projector has adjustable zoom which helps with screen fitting
r/Golfsimulator • Could I fit a projector here? ->Dang - that’s my video. That projector has treated me well… for the price. But I do have a BenQ TH671ST - it’s great, but on the expensive side. However, I found the BenQ on Facebook Marketplace for super cheap. Good luck with whatever you choose!
r/Golfsimulator • Opinions on the ViewSonic PS502X 4000-Lumen XGA Short-Throw ->Oh, no worries! Comes with the territory. I would say try Facebook - but the short throw projectors at a great deal are so rare! In my area they are hard to find anytime. I was very lucky and got my short throw BenQ for $325 - but I only see a few good short throw projectors a year in my area for under $500.
r/Golfsimulator • Opinions on the ViewSonic PS502X 4000-Lumen XGA Short-Throw ->I bought the [BenQ TH671ST](https://a.co/d/jfzaFDC) and so far it’s been great.
r/Golfsimulator • Cheap projector ->https://preview.redd.it/qrld03vcommf1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=376d526af222b6388d748a7a07f8a5509fd5380e That’s the one I use and it looks great!
r/Golfsimulator • Best Short throw projector under $1k? ->That’s the worst one u could buy. U gotta go on Facebook marketplace and look for a used benq or view sonic. Just make sure its 1080p and 2500+lumens and you’ll love it
r/projectors • Looking for best sub $200 mini projector ->I went from cheaper 70inch 4k Samsung to benq 1080p projector I purchased on eBay. Even though the resolution isn’t as good I prefer the projector by a long shot. I love it
r/projectors • Replace TV with Home Projectors ->Have a look at Richer Sounds. I picked up a BenQ 1080p projector for £200 and gor a discount for signing up to their newsletter. It was a return / open box. I was projecting almost my full wall height - it was amazing. Room layout change means a smaller projected size now but still great.
r/projectors • Projector recommendations around 500€ for Home Cinema, Europe Market ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
