Do you live anywhere near a medium-large city? If so just search FB Marketplace for full hd projectors from name brands. I got a Epson Homecinema 2150 in excellent condition with a spare bulb for 350. It has around 29 ms input lag which is perfectly acceptable for casual gaming. If you can't find a good used one in time for the party I'd get an Elephas W1K off Amazon (250$ last I saw). Probably the best out the box performance you'll get from a brand new projector under 300 and it's pretty easy to set up. I had one before I returned it to get the used Epson. Which I would still recommend returning the Elephas to Amazon after the game and either finding a better used one or saving up for a quality brand new projector. Good luck and enjoy the game!
Yea just watched video last night ended up going with the elephas w1k for now
Not bad for money. I had to get it replaced tho a few days ago because of a dead/frozen pixel. I plan on selling come November and getting a Hisense c2 ultra
I ended up getting a elephas w1k and a silver ticket 120 inch white screen I’ll post some pics when it’s all set up for anyone interested in a cheaper setup
Just got an elephas w1k for cheap on amazon off a review video I seen on YouTube. Amazing quality for the price. Just can’t beat it
Using it rn actually and really visible even with the light turned on. I keep it in the garage on a white wall and even with the garage door open halfway it’s still really visible
I got the elephas w1k based on that video. And looks really good. Lots of adjustments on the picture quality and the autofocus and keystone work pretty great. For the price im pretty pleased, its a very nice upgrade from my groview jq828c ( that for its price also works pretty well btw)
So ht2060 is worth it? My ht2050 just died and it was 10 years old. Have a cheap Elephas wk1 for now
I too was looking for a cheap projector, and after watching this review [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHmy8sobWEc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHmy8sobWEc) and others, I bought the Elephas W1K. I paid $224 including shipping for a brand new unit. My theater setup is in a spare bedroom 136.5 X 126. I've only had it for a week so here's my two cents, but keep in mind this is my first projector and I have nothing to compare it to besides what little I could find online. Also, I have done nothing to the room yet, to enhance the theater effect. The room is white walls and ceiling, and I am projecting on a bare wall and only watching movies at night in a fully dark room. Pro: The picture quality is excellent with very good contrast and deep blacks. This thing is really bright, and lights up the room even in eco mode, so you have to darken with paint, curtains etc. No problems lighting up a 120" image. Auto focus and auto keystone on startup. The remote is decent. Has Bluetooth. Looks nice. Cons: No lens shift (you have to mount the projector in the center of the screen) so I have to mount this thing on a shelf just above my head (awkward) to say the least. This pushes the screen top a bit too high - like up to 7 feet on an 8 foot high wall. I'm trying to max out throw ratio and get the largest screen size which is about 120" diagonal @ 11 feet. I don't want to use any keystone if I can help it, to enhance the picture quality. The thing is a bit loud \^\^\^ around 44db. measured by a downloaded app. Will not find any WIFI devices except my router. Won't sync to my Android phone so no casting to the projector over WIFI, I ordered an USB C to HDMI so hopefully that will work. Speakers are just ok. I'm currently looking for a 5.1 receiver to hook up to my sub and speakers. So that's my 2 cents. I would not spend more than $300 on this projector. I'll paint and hang blackout curtains, get a grey 120" screen, hook up the sound system and see how it goes. The lack of lens shift is kind of a deal breaker and I'm kinda pissed that I forgot that the review I watched mentioned this MAJOR detail. If I get rid of it, I'll get a used or refurb BenQ or Epson.
Elephas w1k from the video review greatly exceeded my expectations for around $270
