hmm , I think something like [this ](https://www.amazon.com/Epson-EpiqVision-Streaming-Brightness-Entertainment/dp/B0B9CG7QZK?crid=MMFHO3B2AW6I&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.vaYSzFkJZdFzQ5_Cn-URjsKlqup4NbiiRDp-ZHd2enz_tt8OUFKFQFevIaoA0Sq-v6i-gK1uMLWYkEmO2zG-4yQ7KUBcDVDJmv5oftbieRA-aTwILpaTDJ0MoiVgFbtjZHencoX2Pjru2VXq5eyI5xQ4FmZFoUCmJhBZv9paTjPRjIvs66sfLxH6c4FBgTk_5R4DbM0muqYRNAnGQz6MaPlvQpZDKRQcqQqNlZylDdc.BDvjXMVpLDy1J8L-zRC1w8fzwcVCY3lMS9fL5IIaOMk&dib_tag=se&keywords=Epson+co+fh02&qid=1750969311&sprefix=epson+co+fh02%2Caps%2C401&sr=8-1&linkCode=ll1&tag=grok43-20&linkId=7bf6b241f505eed6d868c8da44c381ff&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl) would work ,It delivers bright and clear 1080p video thanks to its 3LCD tech and 3000 lumens of color/white brightness, making it well-suited for rooms with some ambient light. Its short throw works well at your 3–5 meter distance, and built-in Android TV is a plus for streaming. You can simply ignore the Bluetooth if you’re using a stereo system via HDMI or aux. Overall, it’s a good value projector under €600 for a group movie setup without going overboard on features you don’t need
This one will be a good runner up https://epson.com/Certified-ReNew/Home-Entertainment/EpiqVision%C2%AE-Flex-CO-FH02-Full-HD-1080p-Smart-Portable-Projector---Certified-ReNew/p/V11HA85020-N?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Brand%2BPLA%2BB2B%2BPrinter%2BUS%2BENG%2BSEARCH&utm_adgroup=Surecolor+Refurb&utm_term=PRODUCT_GROUP&cq_cmp=19870340372&cq_net=&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19870340372&gbraid=0AAAAAD244qpDYMBhW8rlP9KRfFOYYbBzp
Much cheaper though and at 15 feet he has to work with the throw distance to screen size is more than adequate but yeah I diddnt realize that’s non user replaceable lamp honestly that’s a huge bummer , I have a little bit older epson hc1080 and I love it I think I spent 400 on it refurbed op if you can find one of those
Very compact look at my review on youtube https://preview.redd.it/6ba9jfbzbgzf1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d1550d03ed6bfe6f0f3f62e4eda965f5a1de635e you can also buy the tall stand separately but the stand it comes with is very aesthetic and compact for it size looks almost like a lamp in my living room. Very easy to move from one room or another or backyard friends and family have been wowed by this tiny thing it packs a nice punch and doubles as an ambient light when not in use.
Really good 4k
I have the Epson CO-FH02 and I’ve tried to upgrade thinking things would get better but they just don’t. I just returned the Nebula X1 because it wasn’t a noticeable improvement and was $3k instead of $499. The X1 had some weird banding in bright areas and my wife could see rainbows (I don’t see them but she couldn’t watch it). Epson has colors down and the 3LCD end up just looking better. Just my experience. I imagine the FH06 is similarly good if not better as it was made for home cinema but $100 more.
I got this on a budget and shoot at a 91” budget Elite Spectrum 2 screen. It looks great at night but during the day it is washed out for sure. Since i only watch tv in the evening and am not a weekend sports person it is great for me. So I would say in your budget if you have a dark room this kind of setup or a more modern 4k version could work but if you have a daylight room, nah. Epson EpiqVision Flex CO-FH02 Full HD 1080p Smart Streaming Portable Projector, 3-Chip 3LCD, 3,000 Lumen Color/White Brightness, Android TV
This projector is only 720p and would only look decent in a dark room at night. At 180 lumens, it would be good as a kids first projector but that's about it. I own a flashlight that's brighter than this. For outside, I would think you would need something with at least 2500+ lumens (3k or more is better) with plenty of shade. This refurbished [Epson EpiqVision CO-FH02](https://www.amazon.com/Epson-EpiqVision-Streaming-Brightness-Entertainment/dp/B0CQ3Y6GNS/?th=1) looks pretty nice for 1080p. You could also look into used Epson 880 or Epson 1080.
Kind of depends what you want it to do. If you want a full 4K home cinema, you're looking at $1500+. If you want base HD to do large movies for novelty, there's an Epson Epiq that's about $500 that'll work. The $1500+ ones are unbeatable though, I won't go back to a TV if I have a choice.
A good suggestion I would say will be [this](https://www.reddit.com/user/Icy_Current9623/comments/1qjxyx7/epson_epiqvision_widescreen/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) from epson. The 3LCD image is easy on the eyes for long sessions. With 3,000 lumens, it's bright enough to use with some room lights on, and its simple HDMI setup and decent build quality make it a good choice.
