Can only post one pic per comment so here’s another https://preview.redd.it/v2obtulsq1gg1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76409bfc3ad8a13e0048197fd626a43070e9553c Distance of about 2.5M throwing a very decent sized image, I’d say 110-120” Honestly you folks on here are great with the recommendations, am well pleased with this

Just bought a refurbished epson ef21 on their website today, I can give you reviews when it arrives. it might take a week. $666 CAD good sign I guess LOL

It's because of the size it's compact "I will put it above my bed", distance throw 120" at 9ft, almost silent, and it doesn't have RBE. What I really wanted was hisense m2 Pro, but I can't handle the rbe, and speckle made me go for ef21 since it's perfect for my screen size/throw distance.

Bro mine arrived today! I can't wait to get home and try it! Although Epson fk up my addressed and it got delayed + their awful support I am happy that the delayed product arrived!

Haven't set up my screen yet, kinda tired haha will do it tomorrow so far I am happy.

Oh that's true input lag is meh on ef21. I only read the $500 🤣 lazy because I am at work right now

I like the Epson EF21 because it's basically a short throw projector but branded as regular throw LOL. Check reviews if you can live with its input lag. You can order this on epson main store. You will basically get brand-new like product.

I have the EF 21 and I fucking love this projector. It’s sharp as fuck does auto Keystone and it’s just a solid machine. I got a lot of heat or hate from people that like other brands but I just trust Epson

I’ve had an EF-21 for four months and I love it. It’s projecting a 124” image in a partially light controlled room and the image quality is great. I bought a cheaper projector first, and then figured I’d try this out, and it was way better.

Yeah, I was never going to buy something for more than $1k as my first projector. I didn’t know how much we’d use it or like it. Turns out, we love it, in no small part because the picture is great. Keep in mind that there is only one HDMI port. I’ve got mine plugged into an AVR, which I can then plug additional sources into. It has ARC, so everything can be controlled seamlessly.

I play ZA on an older version of the Epson EpiqVision Mini laser projector. I got this projector because it is a good quality build for a reasonable price, and with a laser light source. I didn’t want to deal with fragile projector bulbs. Input lag is negligible, although “experts” at twitchy games like Smash might notice a difference from playing on the Switch screen directly. I’m using a second hand overhead projector screen that I can pull down when I play and pop up and away when I’m done. The projector needs to be about 6 feet away from the screen. The EpiqVision has two HDMI ports (like a TV) and a decent built in speaker. When I watch movies with it, I typically connect it to my Apple TV/Homepod, but the projector does also have some smart TV functions.

Kind of depends what you want it to do. If you want a full 4K home cinema, you're looking at $1500+. If you want base HD to do large movies for novelty, there's an Epson Epiq that's about $500 that'll work. The $1500+ ones are unbeatable though, I won't go back to a TV if I have a choice.
