I own the 2350 and I enjoy gaming on it! Fan noise will be a bit annoying but it’s not too loud to where you won’t consider this bad boy! I love watching sports on it as well but I mainly game with it (COD and any sport game) the lag isn’t noticeable and for sound I would suggest an home theater system of some sort, aux connected is better than Bluetooth. It’s on sale atm I would def jump on it it’s worth it! I don’t have mine mounted I have no room in my apt to mount, it’s sitting next to my couch on a table cornered,so I had to adjust the keystone. Another suggestion if you can mount it do so to get a way better picture than what I have! https://preview.redd.it/tfhauyrhohdd1.png?width=2288&format=png&auto=webp&s=6b10261d487788b51fda9098a4ef1515d4524087
r/projectors • Any recommendations on something possibly cheaper than Epson Home Cinema 2350 for gaming? ->Hey. Wondering if since this reply if you have managed to get more than 90fps? Spent a lot of time fucking with settings with this thing. I can get 120 with AMDs fluid frame generation, but the screen tearing does not make it worth it. Any settings you change to help with input lag?
r/budgetprojectors • Epson Home Cinema 2350 3LCD: Gaming and Media ->I have an Epson Home Cinema 2350 and absolutely love it (around 1000 bucks) with a Silver Ticket Products projection screen (350 buckscaroons).
r/projectors • Best projector under $2000! ->Just want to throw this, the Epson fh01 is currently on sale in most places, and would put any single LCD flashlight Amazon projector to SHAME. They have updated it as well and the contrast is much better than original units. I've also seen models such as the Epson 2350 go on sale for 599usd which may push the budget, but compared to what your looking at, either of these are such a massive step up it's hard to compare
r/projectors • Is the Nexigo PJ40 a good first projector ? ->Your previous projector only had 1000ANSI lumens not bright enough. I'd say at least 2500-4200 is perfect for daytime viewing. If you pair it with a grey screen even the cheap cloth ones it will improve contrast an reduce the light washout you get in the day. There are also paint mixes you can paint on your wall. For $1100 on Amazon you can get a new Epson 2350 with 4k uhd/pixel shifting 2800ANSI lumens. The Epson 1080 is a decent option for $700 at 1080p 3400ANSI lumens. I have 4 Epson projectors the home cinema 3100 at 2600 ANSI lumens, the 696ui at 3800 ANSI lumens, the 2247u at 4200 ANSI lumens and the LS650 at 3600 ANSI lumens. All bright enough and I have them all in eco mode.
r/projectors • Best ~$1000 Projector ->*** ***My Experience*** I don't know a ton about projectors, but I do have pretty good knowledge on monitors and displays, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. I've only ever owned <$200 Amazon projectors so this is my first projector from an actual brand. I was recommended this projector by the very kind u/PlayStationPepe and so far I'm really liking it. *** ***The Projector*** So far a really wonderful experience. It's super bright, the faux-4K looks great, details are sharp and colors pop! It's awesome for gaming as well. It has this cool internal space that you can plug a media stick into. It comes with some generic Android TV stick in it, but I had a spare Fire Stick 4K laying around so I just put that in and never even bothered turning on the one it came with. There is 0 rainbow effect, naturally, due to this being a 3LCD projector. It's bright enough that I can leave the lights on full blast and the window open in broad daylight while using it. To the point that I actually forgot to turn off the lights when I took the pictures, and now I'm too lazy to re-take them with the lights off... *** ***Gaming*** The input lag feels really good. It's not quite as good as the Optoma HZ40HDR that I bought and then returned before getting this (rainbow effect was unbearable) but for playing casual to semi-competitive games it is excellent. I managed to overclock it to 90 Hz in 1080p and it's very fluid and smooth with minimal ghosting. I'd say that it's much better than most of the TVs that I've used in the past. Playing Smash Bros on it is a great experience, and the big screen is awesome for split screen content. *** ***TV and Movies*** I was watching The Boys with my friends on this projector and it looked really great -- way better than my previous one. I could finally make out the details pretty clearly in dark scenes. I imagine a more expensive projector would look better, but for what I'm used to, looked great. *** ***Adjustments*** It's got zoom, focus, and a vertical lens shift. The vertical lens shift feature is really cool and I've heard that that's usually only available on more expensive projectors, so that's dope to see here. It also has digital Keystone correction that does *not* cut the framerate in half while active, which is what I've seen on other projectors that I've tried, so that's nice. *** ***The "120 Hz Issue"*** Okay, so, this is an interesting one that I've been borderline obsessing with since I got the projector 3 days ago. The Projector Central review for this projector, as well as many other reviews from when this projector first came out, mention that it supports 120 Hz at 1080p. I **cannot** for the life of me get it to enter 120 Hz. Right off the bat, the projector does not expose 120 Hz as a supported rate, but even when I forcefully overclock it using my Graphics Card control panel, the projector just shows a black screen with some text that says "Input not supported." I was able to get it to 90 Hz through this method though. Here's everything that I tried to get it to 120 Hz: * Switching to HDMI 2.1 from HDMI 2.0 * Turning off HDR * Switching to a shorter cable * Manually setting a custom resolution/refresh rate in the Nvidia control panel * Manually switching screen scaling from Display to GPU * Manually switching from RGB to 8 bit 4:2:0 YCbCr * Changing pretty much every single setting in the projector's OSD. * Trying a PS5 (does not detect a 120 Hz compatible display) I reached out to Projector Central to ask how their reviewer got 120 Hz to work, and here's what they said: >I checked with our reviewer who can't recall how he specifically got this to work; the review was from late 2022. He thinks it might have had something to do with the projector behaving differently depending on whether it got an RGB signal (as comes from a computer) vs a YCbCr signal (which typically comes out of video sources like disc players, set top boxes, and probably game consoles). His comments: "It could have been that it required 8 bit 4:2:0 YCbCr. As I recall, that projector functioned differently depending on if it were RGB or YCbCr and also depending on the signal bit depth. It could also be tied to a specific HDMI input as well. Since it’s an Epson it might have Fast Processing which would need to be potentially looked at in combination with the above." I've scoured every forum post, every reddit post, every review, everything. The information is all over the place. Some people say "this projector absolutely does not support 120 Hz" and that appears to be Epson's stance as well, from what people say they hear back after reaching out to support, but it appears like they marketed it as having 120 Hz at some point? 120 Hz is not listed as a supported input in the manual, and from what I can tell, it never has been. It only lists 60 Hz, even at 1080p. But then other people say things like "I got it to run at 120 Hz by switching to integer scaling" and stuff like that. I've reached out to several people that claim that this projector supports 120 Hz and none of them have responded to me, unfortunately, but I don't blame them since they probably did some black magic to get it working. Anyways, if anyone here happens to know how to enable 120 Hz, please tell me... I want that crisp input lag. *** ***Do I Recommend It?"*** Hell yeah! I got this refurbished for $700 and I'd say it's absolutely worth it. I got it from this link: https://a.co/d/7lJQdsv The gaming and viewing experience is awesome and it slotted into my room very well. Anyways, here's a gallery of images: https://imgur.com/a/lj8yOvd
r/budgetprojectors • Epson Home Cinema 2350 3LCD: Gaming and Media ->How unbelievably spoiled are you? >Bad overall Picture Quality The last thing I saw with "bad overall picture quality" was an antenna TV from the 60s. Are you saying this projector is on par with that? Because I certainly wouldn't describe any display or projector I've seen in the past 20 years--even the cheapest, shittiest ones--as having "bad overall picture quality". >Loud Fan Noise Oh no! Not fan noise! Anything but fan noise! Someone might have to slightly turn up their speakers! THE HUMMANITY! >not True 4K Who the hell cares? You know what else isn't "true 4K"? Pretty much every single display and projector made before 10 years ago, you pompous, spoiled child. We got by just fine before that, and the 2350 gets a lot closer than most of the projectors and displays people have been perfectly happy with. I don't think you have a damn clue what constitutes "a good projector", because your reasons for claiming this isn't one are the nonsense ramblings of--as I keep saying--a spoiled brat of a baby.
r/projectors • Any recommendations on something possibly cheaper than Epson Home Cinema 2350 for gaming? ->No, I’m pretty clearly the only one between the two of us who does. For decades, the only options for projectors were standard definition with lamps requiring significant (and often loud) fan cooling. And nobody was calling them bad. Know why? Because they weren’t. These days, there are many other options that improve upon those perfectly good projectors to do better. But those are still perfectly good projectors in the eyes of everyone who isn’t a child that thinks anything less than 4K with near silent fans is garbage. This projector, again, does far better than any good projector from 20 years ago. The people who have it are generally perfectly happy with it and it’s a decent get within the OP’s budget. The only one here who clearly has no idea what they’re talking about is the aforementioned spoiled brat who thinks the OP should spend twice their budget to get a projector that won’t yield that much in noticeable gains, solely because they forgot the past 2 decades of people being happy with far worse projectors than this one exist—presumably because they weren’t born yet.
r/projectors • Any recommendations on something possibly cheaper than Epson Home Cinema 2350 for gaming? ->A good projector can be overpriced. It’s still a good projector even if it’s not worth the cost. A good projector can be outclassed. It’s still a good projector, even if it’s not the best option in any category. Only a spoiled child fails to understand that. And only an unmitigated Ricky Bobby “if you’re not first, you’re last” jackass acts like their uneducated, unnuanced, bullshit take is God’s gift to a community like this. That clear up what my problem is, you ill-informed, know nothing, pronouncements from on high offering asshole?
r/projectors • Any recommendations on something possibly cheaper than Epson Home Cinema 2350 for gaming? ->I bought a refurbed Epson 2350 from Amazon with a 3 year warranty. Honestly the best projector at that price point, plus it’ll allow you to watch 4K content.
r/hometheater • Projector recommendation <$700? ->The 2350 is NOT a good Projector! What Screen and Screensize do you have? Best cheap TRUE 4K Gaming Projector is the BenQ TK700.
r/projectors • Any recommendations on something possibly cheaper than Epson Home Cinema 2350 for gaming? ->I loved my Epson 2350. I even got into arguments with people about how good it was. On my gray, borderless screen in a light controlled room, people would say it looked like a 115" tv. Always ran in eco mode too, so quiet. The black levels suck. It's what everyone would point out. I hadn't compared yet, but then bought a Wemax One Pro. Yeah the black levels suck. The colors are amazing and gaming was great and honestly on almost all content I loved it. But I have OCD and I kept watching The Batman over and over trying to "fix" the blacks ( I'm African-American and that sounded racist). I literally just replaced my Epson with a much older Panasonic PT-RZ470. The colors don't pop as much, but it still looks great...and the black bars are black. Get the 3800 if you can.
r/projectors • What is the best bang for the buck 4k projector currently? ->If you're not super sensitive to rainbow effect get TK700. If you are one of the few then the 2350. Most people aren't super sensitive to it though.
r/projectors • Any recommendations on something possibly cheaper than Epson Home Cinema 2350 for gaming? ->I picked up the 2350 on Amazon Renewed. Amazon warranty was 3 months and 3 months and 2 weeks into ownership it had a problem with the Auto Iris which is supposed to give you better contrast. Luckily I had purchased extended warranty and sent it in only to be told could not be fixed and received refund. I enjoed the projector while it worked, price was good, but I would definetly purchase the extended warranty and maybe turn off the auto iris in the settings. I'm back to using my old optoma hd143x which I've never had a problem with though it's only 1080p and set up positioning is a little tougher but at least it still works.
r/projectors • Any recommendations on something possibly cheaper than Epson Home Cinema 2350 for gaming? ->Yep on a high end Epson 4K HDR LCD projector at 120 inches Looks so damn good.
r/switch2 • Anyone playing Switch 2 on a projector? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
