Great picture/gaming, but RBE and no lens shift are dealbreakers.

Epson 2040 and 3800 and no noticeable lag. 110" screen with 7.1 speaker set up. RDR2 in particular was absolutely mind blowing. Hearing things all around and really feeling like you're in the game... incredible
Same, got the 2040. LED lamp is inexpensive and lasts 10k hours on ECO.
I have Epson Home cinema 2040 3D Projector Can anyone please suggest compatible 3D Glasses for use
New ones of Amazon pot shot. Used one on fbmp that was like $500 new most likely solid af now around $200-$100 may need a new bulb. I have grabbed a couple of the newer $100 ones they do t last very long. Wish I found one that works. Epson home cinema 2040 I think it is solid 1080p projector used now kinda on that price range. If u want good Benq 3100 fire projector If u wanna watch for a few hours and get a feel for it the $100 amazon ones work to get an idea of placement throw brightness things and h can return it if ya don’t like it.
Benq x3100i is fire we went from epson home cinema 2040 or ?? Model may not be exact memory is shite, 1080p on a 135” screen at like 11’. Good for sure, but the 4k Benq x3100i is so much sharper clearer and brighter. Now from ur Benq to this one maybe not the jump we experienced but still believe a jump. ALR screen is the one thing we found later would be the best thing for closer to OLED blacks but sheeesh it’s so good. Even older media is nice on it. Feels very old theater which is great on those nostalgia days. We grabbed an open box and saved a mint things expensive but in the end if we payed full worth it. Are there better short throws for a lot more money sure are. When it’s time dropping 7k on screen and projector will happen. For now tho this is my go to and recommended. Great quality awesome picture good for gaming it wins where it should. Happy hunting
It’s pretty minimal, the epson was rougher for sure.
Epsom home theater cinema 2040 it’s 1080p but under $1000 works great. For 4k benq home cinema I forget the model we have but it is amazing. That one would be harder to find for $1000 or sub $1000. Mounting I’d probably ceiling mount but rental I think u said? Floating shelves work if the weight can be taken. Maybe try a small portable projector to get where the heck to put it for your setup. Like $80 bucks but won’t last long I had one left it on by accident for a day and it died. It was cheap tho so it’s ok. Might even find a small one that works well that’s reliable that’s cheap idk I haven’t tried another cheap one yet. :)
We have had for over a decade and we love it. We have an EPSON TW 5210 LED projector with full 1080p, 2200 Lumens and 30000:1 contrast but I am sure there are much fancier projectors available these days. For what it is worth here are some experiences in no particular order that might be useful to you: We mainly use a Google Chromecast stick and stream stuff to it using a phone to control it. This works great for most things (Netflix, Prime, Disney etc) but it doesn't work for Apple so we also have a long HDMI lead that we can plug into an IPAD for that (we have an IPAD USB C to HDMI converter). NB you do need good wifi for streaming. Edit: We have never tried connecting Sky to it for regular TV but I suspect that the HDMI lead would also be required for that. We use a cheap screen which drops from the ceiling and it works well for us. You can use a white wall if you have one or you can invest in a high end screen for ultimate picture quality. Check the throw range of the projector before purchasing to make sure it works in your physical set up. We have the projector permanently mounted to the ceiling. There are some cables involved but they are neatly hidden in trunking. One disadvantage of ceiling mounting is that the projector fan runs faster and is louder when the projector is upside down. I don't know if this is only an issue with this model. We have gotten used to it. The projector does have a built in speaker but it is shit. It was easy enough to connect up an external speaker which was a big improvement. I tried connecting the external speaker with blue tooth but there was an unacceptable lag so I used a wired connection instead. More trunking. This set up is in a very bright room that gets a lot of day light and the projector isn't strong enough to fight the sun. Therefore we only use it at night when we can shut the curtains and darken the room.
Absolutely, there are numerous options available. Some models, such as the BenQ W1070, Optoma HD141X, HD142X, and certain Epson Home Cinema units (like the 2030, 2040, 2150, or 3000), can also project 3D content. These projectors are all 1080P native. Most DLP projectors can also project 3D content, but it’s essential to check the specific model’s specifications to confirm.
