Lol my first (and only) projector is a 720p PowerLite that I'm running into the ground until I can pick up a used, bright af 4k for cheap.
Bought my first (and current) projector on eBay, also an older Epson (720p!!). Good enough for just starting out and no issues for years now. Hard to beat reliability of Epson / Optoma / BenQ vs cheaper Amazon junk.
Not really. Ill be rocking mine until 4k laser becomes 1000 dollars or less. I ran my previous epson 720p 3lcd for 10 years, and would be still running it but it sadly started to develop an issue where it would have image retention within minutes of anything static being displayed. Got a good decade out of the sucker though and never had to change the bulb. Think i ended at about 2500 to 2800 bulb hours lol.
