Honestly for 40 bucks you will probably have some fun with it, just expect a pixely 480p looking image and most the aps won't work. I got one for my garage to play around with. I would suggest a used 1080p Epson with a Chromecast or fire stick. You could probably find something pretty good used for under 200 if you keep an eye on the Facebook market etc. I found an epson 4030 for 250 Canadian and it is about 2000 percent better or so... This thing you linked is just a toy don't expect much but can still be fun.

I bought a 4030 about a year ago for $300 Canadian it was a steal. Looks really great and I have no complaints at all, the 3D is really good too. First projector here but I have a nice 65 inch 4k TV and don't feel like the image is missing much on the 4030.

I am happy with how the contrast looks, but don't have much reference with other projectors. I used the calibration settings here: https://www.projectorreviews.com/epson/epson-pro-cinema-4030-projector-the-bottom-line/. Good write up if it helps.

The 4030 is a solid choice for your budget. Its contrast and color are great for movies. Just know it's a bit older, but the picture quality holds up well.

I bought the $60 dollar one and it was reasonable for watching low stakes entertainment. It crapped out 3 days into it. I bought a used $200 Epson 1080p 3D capable one and haven’t regretted it. (dont remember the model)
