I purchased a hisense px1 pro a few years back. I have less than 1k hours on it and ive already lost the earc hdmi input. As well, the dmd chip has developed a white pixel, and it will intermittently shut itself off once every 30 to 40 hours of use. Been out of warranty for a minute. So willing to repair this when I have time and space, however: Trying to get ANY information from hisense to inform my own repair has been a complete waste of time. Even searching for what chip this projector uses has been a struggle. Anyway, there are many owners and reviews that would advocate hisense for a ust. I would struggle to throw my money at them again. Just my own exp.

10 years ago I was projector all the way. Today, with TV's getting as big as most people want the projected image to be, projectors are less relevant. Seriously, a good UST with an ALR screen combo can run you $3-5k for a 100 inch screen. More for larger screens. You can get a good 100 inch TV from costco for $2300 delivered, and it will be better in almost every way. I would not go with a projector today unless I was going well over 120 inches in size. I'm currently running a PX-1 PRO on a 120 inch screen, had it for about 3 years, and it already has dead pixels. When I am ready to replace it, I'm going with a 100 inch TV (or whatever I can get that week) over another projector.

Because of the placement ur only option is to go with ust. Ultra ultra short trow. If ur willing to conciede that there are more options. It also depens on how u want to game? 1080 60hz 1080 120 or 240hz or 4k 60/120hz. Cause if that is the priority ultra short trow 25 cm next to the wall with 4k120hz ull need to think about a budget of 2200-4000. Its not worth it. With the best spec u have to options. Hisense psx3pro, valerion visionmaster pro 2 Hisense 2200 marketprice Valerion 2999 market price with a bit of searching ull find hisense 1800 and valerion 2200 Ultra ultra short makes it way more exspensive... also the 4k120hz If u lose the ultra ultra short trow U get these options: BenQ X3100i Long Throw 4K/120Hz (240Hz op 1080p) €2.339 – €2.399 €1.679 (Refurb) ViewSonic LX700-4K Long Throw 4K/120Hz €1.399 – €1.599 €1.299 (Sale) BenQ X500i Short Throw 4K/120Hz €1.499 – €1.599 €1.349 Epson EH-LS12000 Long Throw 4K/120Hz €4.299 – €4.697 €3.999 BenQ TK710STi Short Throw 4K/120Hz (L-Functie) €1.799 – €1.899 €1.649 Epson EH-LS11000 Long Throw 4K/120Hz €3.299 – €3.499 Goodluck!

Also that cabinet is going to shorten the life of your projector. It seems like it's blocking the side vents. On my Hisense UST the manual says to allow like 8" inches of airflow on each side.

I started with something basic and later switched to a Hisense UST, mainly because setup was just easier in my space.

If budget is critical, you get more features and gameplay w the laser dlp projection. Epson is a good company and they are built well, but having seen my daughter setup using Hisense pro, my thoughts of these cheaper projector has changed. That being said, I won’t give up my JVC nz800

Because obviously is a shitty lamp projector. For movies theres nothing better than a triple lcd laser projector (like JVC NZ8) or a pure rgb triple laser projector (like hisense, valerion)
