I'm planning to use a Hisense PX4 Pro UST 4K laser Projector and a 120" ALR screen when I get my theater room in the fall. Has the added bonus of being able to do 3D too. Right now really big TVs that are actually decent are absurdly expensive. Like others have said though, if you're not buying anything for years it doesn't really matter what you pick now since it will be outdated by the time you are going to get it. Edit: Keep in mind that your 300" screen maximum is ~12.5 feet tall and ~22 feet wide. Unless you are custom building a massive room that is not happening inside (standard ceilings are 8 feet, you would need at least 14 foot ceilings to not have the screen touching the ceiling, maybe more depending on the projector). Depending on the type of projector the throw distance could also be very large, making the room even bigger and more expensive. Also, while projectors can do that big a screen it's at the cost of brightness and the sweet spot will be much lower so you never want to do the maximum size. Those reasons are why I'm doing 120" to balance all this out.

Also that cabinet is going to shorten the life of your projector. It seems like it's blocking the side vents. On my Hisense UST the manual says to allow like 8" inches of airflow on each side.

I started with something basic and later switched to a Hisense UST, mainly because setup was just easier in my space.

If budget is critical, you get more features and gameplay w the laser dlp projection. Epson is a good company and they are built well, but having seen my daughter setup using Hisense pro, my thoughts of these cheaper projector has changed. That being said, I won’t give up my JVC nz800
