JMGO N1 is a really solid model with much better brightness and a gimbal stand that may work really well for your setup needs.
The throw distance if way too far for such a small screen. You'd have to use a ton of digital image correction, which will cut resolution down by 50% or more and throw all that light away as well. A TV is by far and away the proper solution at the size you are working with. But, you can use any projector with digital zoom on it and you'll get typical results. JMGO has their 4K models on sale right now, and they are about as cheap as you can get while maintaining a high quality image. So, I'd try one of those, and if you aren't happy, then realize you aren't getting 'better' really.
Jmgo projectors are triple laser DLP and look amazing from my experience. N1 line gets you android TV os while N1S series gets you google TV os. Can recommend highly as the color is 🤌🤌
I think, jmgo n1 ultra, and buy a silver ticket woven acoustic material 92inch or 100inch, just measure the throw ratio 1.2:1 (1.2x92"=110.4") (1.2x100=120"), buy a center speaker align to ear level and place it behind the screen. https://preview.redd.it/ejoj5uey9bgf1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac4becdedc8d233cdcb4e613bafdb7de2c3afbf3 Place your screen like this (don't place it too high) If you have no issue projecting to your wall then dont buy a screen, or center speaker being too low. But setting up screen placement is a must and buying projector screen is a must too when buying a projector.
I second the jmgo rec above, but the n1 ultra is now going for 1k, down from like 2400. It went on sale a couple weeks ago and even though the sale is over it hasn't gone back up just yet. Not sure if it's just the new price but at 1k it is a STEAL and I would jump on it. I did!
I own a jmgo n1ultra which is available for 999€ I don’t even notice any laser speckle like early reviews suggest. It’s very bright and absolutely quiet(-which is really rare-). Sound is good and the latency also seems quite good but I just tried some small apple arcade games I can’t say anything bad about it except that it hast no lens shift.
Jmgo n1ultra (not even close I would say)
Maybe it’s because English isn’t my mother tongue I wanted to say that the Jmgo n1 ultra ist extraordinary good in its price range especially after the updates and if you hook an Apple TV or fire tv to it
I have a jmgo n1 ultra and it does 3d really nicely. My nieces and nephews love doing 3d movie night I bought a ton of glasses It’s really easy the projector does all the work automatically on its side. I have to change 2 settings in vlc media player everytime on my pc and it works great. I vastly prefer the projector to my meta headset for 3d. The image is just so good and the headsets are heavy for a 2 hour movie
I have the jmgo ultra 4k, have for like 2 years. It’s been absolutely phenomenal. The kids love 3d movie night. One of my favorite tech purchases ever. Great speaker, great image, and it’s a gimbal stand or whatever so it’s easy to move around
I love my jmgo ultra 4k lol Easy operating system, image is spectacular, boots up quick, and it swivels and moves around easy on the stand + autocorrects I’mage I had bought 2 other projectors before it but didn’t like the operating systems and they had a bad rainbow effect which hurt my eyes
I have had the jmgo ultra 4k for about a year it’s been an incredible projector. Looks amazing and the operating system is easy to use
Don’t think you’ll do much better without fixing the lighting issues. That’s a solid projector
A little but it would take a pretty huge jump because what you have is pretty bright
Hey happy NYE. I have a spot about 8-9 ft from a wall. The wall is white with slight plaster texture. And the room is moderately bright but I can make it dark. That's where I'm looking at movies and YouTube...no screen. Main priority is brighteness and clarity, I don't play video games, and don't particularly care about sound. I do want a Bluetooth enabled model. I currently have the JMGO ultra but it's just a bit dim. Not horrible, but does anyone know of a step up or different model to get for the above features? thanks!
actually last night I watched a movie with attention to turning down ambient light. I got good results with brightness and clarity. and also noticed the projector and GUI are pretty slick. Looks like I just stick with this projector and enjoy!
