DONT DO LASER. Since you are projecting on an imperfect surface you are gonna experience alot of laser speckle. I just got my n1s pro 4k and i need to fix my walls to get rid of the speckle. If you want to mount a screen or smooth out your ceiling then i HIGHLY recommend JMGO, amazing picture at great prices. Just use them with a proper screen.
r/projectors • Time to upgrade my ceiling projector – need suggestions! ->Have been using the JMGO N1S 4k for a few weeks now, quite happy with it. Hits most of what you mention, is sub 1000 (euro) plus is portable enough to bring outside if needed! Brightness is good without being the best, but I use it a lot in a room during the day, my blinds are not blackout and the picture is still good. During nighttime picture is great and sharp. I use it on a 100inch screen and my placement is not ideal (have to keystone it a lot, I'm maybe 14 feet away) but to me the picture is great. Does 4k 60hz or 1080p 120hz for gaming, I'm very particular about latency in general but in the low latency gaming mode I don't notice any problem. There is also an even faster mode that can be turned on but that removes ability to manually keystone. Downsides might be that there is only 1 HDMI (I have a HDMI splitter plugged in so I can do PS5 to Android Player with the press of a button, no issues), 1 USB A port (again, you can use a USB hub for more ports). Interface can be a little slow on startup. Doesn't have Dolby Vision support. I've paired mine with a Zidoo Z9X Pro 4K allows me to play Blu-ray 3D movies through the projector. They are a great experience but be aware that watching them using 3D glasses will dim the brightness 20% ish, so I'd only watch 3D movies at night. Total cost probably 1300 (euro)
r/projectors • Which 4K Projector should I get? ->I own a jmgo n1s 4k for a week now. And i have to say iam very impressed! The beamer i had before was the Xgimi Halo + and i need to say there are worlds between them. But i have a problem and maybe you can help: I connect the jmgo with my pioneer vsx-329 so that i have the sound on my 5.1 system. But the sound lags. it stocks and i dont know what the problem is.. with my TV ARC is working fine.

r/projectors • Best 4K bedroom projector no budget ->I currently have both and I'm going to keep the N1S 4K. It is much quieter than the C2, which is a priority in our bedroom because it is right above our heads. I find that the jmgo produces a more "cinematic" image, while the C2 produces a magnificent image that is closer to a television, but that's not what we're looking for. It's clear that the C2's image has more contrast, which is really beautiful. In a room with completely white walls, we use a motorised Nothingprojector Black Series screen. The fact that the JMGO is less bright is an advantage, but the C2 can also go quite low. For this type of projector to work with the ALR screen, we had to offset the video projector to avoid hot spots (we had a bright line that took up about 30% of the screen). I got the JMGO for 830€ and the C2 for 1300€. I am eagerly awaiting feedback on the Hisense M2 Pro, which will offer a real advantage with its optical zoom. We will see if it is quieter than the C2... If the C2 had been quiet, I think I would have chosen it and tried to calibrate it to get the image I like. It has more to offer!
r/projectors • Hisense C2 vs JMGO N1S 4K for bedroom and holiday use ->They have almost the same throw ratio. So no different much on screen size at same placement. JMGO is slightly smaller in size but much much brighter.

r/budgetprojectors • JMGO N1S 4K vs XMING Page One ->the jmgo n1s is outdated by now, as there is the n1s 4k now. I got the benqGV50 back in the day but I wouldn't use it anymore today. check out the Mogo 3 Pro, its way more portable, has netflix, keystone is simple. I will have to say that the n1s beats the mogo 3 pro in terms of sound, but the n1s is bigger and with its carrying case it got even bigger bigger (I know thats no english :D). I ordered a 70 inch portable screen which wouldn't fit your van ,but it would fit outside of the van: [https://us.xgimi.com/products/xgimi-portable-outdoor-screen](https://us.xgimi.com/products/xgimi-portable-outdoor-screen) however i use the XGIMI 50" Screen P124S whenever the space is tight. r/projectors • Portable projector + screen recommendations for Van ->Recently replaced mine by a JMGO N1S 4K. Will probably change it for an Hisense C2, but the JMGO is already a huge update. You don't realize how loud is your W1070 until you've tried one those... The silence in function by itself worths the upgrade.
r/projectors • Is a 4 K projector worth it? ->I'm actually also in a bit of a dilemma as well. I purchased the N1S 4K and I'm still contemplating whether I should have opted for the C2 instead. The N1S 4K is impressive, but it does have a few drawbacks. I find the contrast somewhat lacking (with a 110-inch base picture projected onto a white wall, always in a dark room). I'm uncertain if the C2 would perform better, but it is indeed brighter. I believe the Dolby Vision support could enhance the viewing experience in certain scenarios. Another issue I've encountered with the JMGO is that when the screen goes completely black during a video—such as between scenes in an episode (e.g., 'The Handmaid's Tale' has many half-second black screens) or during the credits—the picture develops a red tint. This is quite noticeable and disrupts the immersion. It clearly displays a black picture first, then the red tint suddenly comes and disappears when the "black picture part" is finished. Strangely, none of the reviews mention this issue. I'm considering buying a C2 just to compare it side-by-side with the N1S. Then, I can return one of them, as I still have 15 days left to return the N1S. Is it reasonable though...
r/projectors • Hisense C2 vs JMGO N1S 4K for bedroom and holiday use ->JMGO N1S 4K is a pretty solid brand in my opinion. They kind of knock it out of the park in terms of brightness and somehow also keep things pretty quiet. I almost never hear or notice the fan. It also has a gimbal swivel thingy so it's super easy to point at the ceiling or wall or wherever. I'm not much of a sound guy but speakers seem fine to me and I think something underrated is just connecting my bluetooth earbuds so I can watch stuff without bothering any neighbors or roommates or whatever. I don't notice audio lag but I'm pretty sure it has settings to compensate for that if you need it. And like most smart projectors, it has the autofocus and autokeystone stuff. I've been planning on posting a review on this subreddit but I haven't had the time. Let me know if you have any questions.
r/projectors • Time to upgrade my ceiling projector – need suggestions! ->JMGO N1 is a really solid model with much better brightness and a gimbal stand that may work really well for your setup needs.
r/projectors • Time to upgrade my ceiling projector – need suggestions! ->If he watches in a dark room, why not consider the basic Plus model. 1500 lumens may not sound like much but the Hookup measured my JMGO N1 at 870 lumens. I find it watchable during the daytime with blinds drawn and fantastic at dusk and night. Only issue is that it has a fixed lens. To get a 100" screen the projector must be 105" away. It mostly for a light controlled "home theater" room. Thats the one i'm pledging for.
