"I just removed my 150” Elite Screens A8 Acoustic Transparent screen in favour of the wall and man, was I glad I did. The image, sharpness and colors are believe or not, so much better as you can see by my pictures. ... This image is 160” on a wall only, no expensive screen etc and it it so close to OLED it is ridiculous."
"searing brights and color volume ... An eye popping projector pleaser if there was one"
"Wider colour gamut too."

"The JMGO N1S is a great option for sure. Bright and quality image and can do a 100" diagonal with some lights on without massive impact."

The Valerion Pro Master will give you deeper blacks esp in Dolby Vision espwith their Enhanced Black Level switch . Ceiling projection ? Not sure about that however . Also the JMGO N1S Ultimate for searing brights and color volume . Triple Laser and the fastest Keystone and Focus Adjustments available . An eye popping projector pleaser if there was one .
I’ve got the ultimate, the sound’s actually pretty impressive. Feels rich and spacious, definitely has that surround vibe.
Yeah, I like my N1S Ultimate but I also got a screaming deal on it (sub-$1K), but unless I'm watching 3D content I keep it at brightness level 5, or maybe 7. Luckily it's still quite bright
I was able to get a gently used one of these for under $1K (definitely the Ultimate). It's nice, but I mostly use it for bedroom wall or outdoor screen projection, not for a dedicated home theater. Some notes: Brightness - bright at all levels, even 1/10 is usably bright in a dark room. Above 5/10 however, I notice a slight red tint in deep blacks which is not there (more of a normal projector grey) when at 5/10 or below. Color quality also takes a hit below 3/10... so most of the time I keep it between 3-7. 10 if I'm watching a darker 3D movie, but it's a subtle difference. RBE - The Hook Up classified it as Moderate, I would say it's quite noticeable for me on any bright white spots, or when I move my eyes quickly - but I haven't seen that many projectors and I consider myself very sensitive to color changes. I can live with it - the cheap price I got helps - but for a dedicated HT projector I'd steer away from this if you can see RBE whatsoever. Gaming - once you're in one of the Low Latency modes - fantastic for anything but super competitive gaming. Really low latency for a projector, and totally usable as a monitor, doesn't feel bad whatsoever. It does not automatically switch (no ALLM support for consoles), and does not support keystone or 3D in LLM, so as a 3D watcher I find myself switching modes often. If you only watch 2D without keystone, just leave it on ultra-low latency and it's great. UI Performance - Bad. From a fresh boot or after running "System Acceleration" (afaik just closing all background apps), it's fine to navigate around. Opening too many apps in succession will slow it to a crawl and when streaming a movie from my Jellyfin server, opening menu overlays is REALLY slow. I just press and wait for it to appear sometimes. It's not unusable always, but it's not snappy. I'd say the built-in Google TV box is fine for portable or casual use, but for frequent or heavy use plugging in an HDMI device is going to feel a lot smoother. 3D - Supports SBS/OU/Frame-packed (They call it Blu-ray 3D but works with PS3 etc), but it does not detect or auto-switch on its own. You need to press the Settings button>navigate down to picture settings>navigate down to 3D mode>select the mode>wait for it to switch. *Then*, frequently it goes into an out-of-sync 3D mode that makes motion look strange. I find very frequently I have to turn 3D off and on again to get it properly in sync. I've tried multiple brands of glasses as well. I'm a big 3D movie person, and once in 3D mode it does look good, though RBE is *slightly* more noticeable IMO. Again, not something I'd buy for a dedicated 3D HT, but it's pretty dang good when it gets it right. Everything else is great, it's a good projector otherwise and I'm happy to answer questions about it, I just wanted to toss some things I wish I knew before I bought it out there.
jmgo ultimate’s pricey but you get what you pay for, and its biggest perk over a traditional setup is portability, so really depends on whether you plan to stay in your apartment long term.
From my experience watching various 3D movies on a JMGO n1s ultimate, brightness and color consistency matter a lot for 3D. The triple laser helps keep colors vibrant, so the 3D image feels immersive instead of flat, as long as the source is good.
JMGO N1S Ultimate with a 600 dollar Amazon screen has done wonders for me. 16ft screen iirc. Would have to measure it to be sure.
I have owned and used both. At the end of the day the specs mean absolutely nothing to me. What matters is the image I am looking at and again, I owned the 5030,5040,5050 (and the LS11000 for a couple of days) and yes, the JMGO outperforms them without question. If you can get a chance to see both I suggest you try cause you will be blown away. https://preview.redd.it/7rlbdueas6ze1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a4eb60122f39d00e2208c72bbf7148ceee195fe8
Hello, great question and basic answer is NO! A little backstory first. I have been using projectors since my early days at Sony Canada. I have owned multiple Epson projectors from the basic models and the 5030, 5040 and 5050UB so I have plenty of experience with the Epson line. I actually ordered the LS11000 as I was tired of the bulb and wanted to switch to laser a few years back. Within two hours it was back in the box going back to Epson Canada. Not that it wasn’t a nice machine but there wasn’t really a noticeable difference between the 5050UB and the LS11000. It was at that point I started searching through the newer ‘lifestyle’ projectors with LED and Laser technology. I tried literally 8 different models with none covering all the bases I needed. Then, by chance I found the JMGO Kickstarter and decided to back it. A week later I backed out (just a gut feeling) a month or so later I rebacked which ended up costing me another $600 I believe it was as I had missed the early bird offer. Anyways, long story short, I received the JMGO N1 Ultra and it was a game changer. EVERYTHING I was looking for in a projector and then some in a package that made the Epson line feel like semi trucks in size and with performance that smoked the Epson line. Needless to say I was so impressed with the technology I restarted my YouTube channel based on home theatre reviews and have now don’t many reviews on all the models up to the newest JMGO N1S Umtimate which is the best projector I have ever used, Hands down. It available shipped to Canada from Amazon US for $2099 on sale right now, even with the shipping charge to Canada you will still be lesser than the used Epson…by far. Check out my review on this model as well as other JMGO projectors and I PROMISE, you will not regret it! https://preview.redd.it/j0954tai7uye1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=540f05f8f34a9f8e097218a22dfed10693b30655 This image is 160” on a wall only, no expensive screen etc and it it so close to OLED it is ridiculous. The JMGO N1S Ultra which is identical to the Ultimate, just a little less lumens 2800 vs 3300 and still freaking amazing is $3100 shipped to Canada, that includes taxes duties etc. and that is brands new, full warranty yada yada.
Noise has been a problem for me .I tried the hisense c1 ,c2 and c2 ultra .the one I found that's perfect and silent is the jmgo n1 4k In my small room I have to have the projector about 3 feet from my head and I can't hear a thing .
I’ve had the N1S 4k for about 6 months and I’m still very happy with it
Jmgo projectors are triple laser DLP and look amazing from my experience. N1 line gets you android TV os while N1S series gets you google TV os. Can recommend highly as the color is 🤌🤌

Tripe colour laser projectors will give you the best contrast ratio with very low black. Wider colour gamut too. Feel free to watch my JMGO N1S 4K review @ [https://youtu.be/aXn7TFaisds](https://youtu.be/aXn7TFaisds) You can pick the Pro model for more brightness.
Go for JMGO if you want wider colour gamut and better contrast ratio. BenQ for brighter. My vote goes to JMGO. More info @ [https://youtu.be/aXn7TFaisds](https://youtu.be/aXn7TFaisds)
