Silver Ticket punches way, way above its weight. Their screens are an amazing value and look great. Consider a used JVC. You can save a lot of money and still get a great picture. NP5s, NX7s and NX9s are often going for $3k or less on AVSForum.

JVC HD-100/RS2 should be around $600 on ebay. I have one, and it was working 100%, until lamp broke. Then bought JVC N7. But it's still my opinion that HD100 has superior picture compared to other at same price range. And of course you can find newer models also.

Get a JVC D-ILa with that budget. Contrast is everything. I have JVC N7 but thats an old model. Put also some money to darken the movie room. Others are only trying to sell their projectors so they could buy Jvc.

Different preferences. I prefer contrast and color range. I update two years ago my JVC HD100(=Pioneer) (2k, 30 000:1 panel contrast) to JVC N7 (4k). If I had to choose from jmgo or JVC HD100, it would be JVC. The used ones are around $600. For me there's no use of resolution if the picture looks washed out. With good contrast and UHD color range you don't need 3d glasses. It already looks real. One of the greatest things that comes with 4k was the color range, then hdr, and then the resolution. You are not watching your movie in a dark enough room if you can see your popcorn.

Yup. Love my JVC NZ-7.

Love my JVC NZ-7, projects 135” diag now, will get up to 160” in future forever house (max recommended for 3D, 2D it can project max200”). 3D is active awesomeness.

Since you can control the light in your room I would get a 130” screen and a JVC true 4K projector 📽️ and you will have a true great home theater.
