davidswelt 1.0I just bought an Epson QB1000 to improve in black levels (over the LG HU810PW that I had for a couple of years), and so far I'm quite happy. I think you should read reviews from reputable places. This seems like too fundamental of a question otherwise because you're not giving criteria beyond black levels and "known brands".
darkbeam77 0.2I once tried the LG 4k projector(native), the one that comes with a handle and is a tall rectangular box like structure. I didn't see much of a difference between the Epson 5050Ube and the LG projector, when I compared a 4K disc. I am commenting this as a lay person, I did no do much tweaking.
