I got a cheap projector (hy320) for $50 and found it great for the money. For a bit of outdoor cinema or fun gaming / movie night with the kids it’s good value. Of course it has lots of issues , but the cheap ones have their place too.
r/hometheater • So You’re Thinking About Switching to a Projector? ->This guys videos are golden and since i live in a 3rd country i settled for the hy320 cause i can't find a groview here is a video with a slightly more budget. Other than that you can also use a samsung freestyle. https://youtu.be/vHmy8sobWEc
r/projectors • Time to upgrade my ceiling projector – need suggestions! ->I've tried it with the HY-320 and it's unplayable, too much input lag.
r/PS3 • PS3 X Mini Projector! ->In the past, that brand made quality things like VHS video players, radio cassettes, etc... Today, it seems they have only put their brand on a Chinese projector... It only has 200 lumens so you can only use it at night or in rooms with very little light. It says it's 1080 full HD, but I honestly don't believe it. Just looking at the remote control suggests the quality of the projector. In recent years I have tried several Chinese projectors and although the specifications promise a lot, the truth is different... Most have plastic lenses that cannot focus the image well. For example, I bought a magcubic hy320 and if you focus on the center, the corners go out of focus and vice versa. It is better that you buy a projector, even if it is used cheaply, from a recognized brand such as Epson, Benq, Optoma...
r/projectors • Review for projector Blaupunkt ->"I just loved the HY300 PRO and HY320, Gys! Both are Chinese, and there's no brand, lol. You can find good prices on Shopee for around $40–$50. They’re not disposable—I’ve had mine for two years. The best part is that you can buy five of them, and it’ll still be a good deal, tho!"
r/projectors • Looking for a mini projector - not too expensive but not silly disposable junk ->Hi so you bought hy450? I have HY320 and lot of problems with dust (it was like that 3 weeks after i buy it), does the HY450 have te same problem?
r/projectors • Any Magcubic HY450 experiences here? ->Grab a cheap HY320 - then decide what it lacks that you want and go from there. That's been my journey. Those HY's are like 40$ online and it will give you a chance to see what things are important to you, etc. Plus it's a really fun projector for outside, etc. It's not gonna impress a "home cinema" enthusiast, but just for regular folks it's a good starting point IMO. Look at my post history if you think I'm just talking ass :P
r/projectors • In need of a good projector with zoom function under $250 ->I recommend a super cheap Chinese HY320 for $50 on amazon before you decide if a projector will work for you on the daily. Trust me. It isn’t amazing but using a projector daily has so many pros and cons and investing before you test drive is a bit worrisome. I just bought a Nexigo Trivision Ultra, but I needed to know if it was worth getting that over an LG C4 OLED TV for me. Don’t get any screens or anything. $50 is less than a video game but you will know what you are getting yourself into.
