The cheap ones all work like a charm, until they dont. I've blown through multiple cheap ones for my kid. They all look pretty ok for about 6 months, then the lcd screen starts discoloring/melting, or they just stop turning on. The ones under $200 that dont die, are incredibly underwhelming picture wise. With one exception... I got off temu for $140, but it typically retails for $400 elsewhere. That become the cheapo kids projector and its been holding up well. Its only 1080p 500 ansi, but its enough for the kid, and actually has hdr, which looks surprisingly good. Side by side with my much more expensive projector I actually got mad at how good it looked for so cheap. But its a blacked out room only type of deal, and i'm a 4k+ diehard, so I wouldn't consider it for main projector.

This guys videos are golden and since i live in a 3rd country i settled for the hy320 cause i can't find a groview here is a video with a slightly more budget. Other than that you can also use a samsung freestyle. https://youtu.be/vHmy8sobWEc

Just make sure it's not those crazy knock offs that are obvious. Look at real reviews and specs that seem believable for the price. I have a Magcubic HY320 and i have no regrets. I just share my files through wifi and have vlc on my projector. It's a chill way to watch movies and series.

What would your next option be? I got the HY320 too and I've been really enjoying it. But I do want your output as to why you're not too big of a fan. Would help me decide my next projector too then haha.

Thanks for the explanation! I've had my hy320's LED give up and changed to a bigger and more powerful 100w one. But I'll definitely look into the P62 as my next too then.

I'm also in Europe, so if you don't want to spend too much, you can find the Magcubic 350 or the L018 on Amazon. I'd opt for something better that will even handle the lights being on, like the Casiris Omnistar Beamer 1500 ANSI; we're talking about prices between 115 and 170. The Magcubic 320 is cheaper at around 80, but considering I started with that one, believe me, it's better to spend a few more euros. Of the options you mentioned, and even considering my own preferences, the Benq would be my choice, but you have to pay attention to the lamp's battery life. That's why I personally would opt for the Casiris, especially since it comes with Android.

I have been playing PS4 on it and there seems to be a little but no a lot. It is very ok. It works great with movies and also gaming.

I've tried it with the HY-320 and it's unplayable, too much input lag.
