I have the uhd30 optoma and I have 9 white and many black. Im on my 2nd lamp. It doesnt bother me much as I play Overwatch 2 only. I havent found a dmd in stock yet or Id replace it
At that price, buy used. I've been very happy with my Optoma UHD30 which you can get used for <$1000. 4k HDR works great. Had mine for 5 years without problem. Play PS5 online all the time. For $2k you'll have a lot more options new and used. I recently bought a used 5050ub for my larger home theatre setup which is awesome. Cost around $1300. For the right distance / throw / projector use Projector Central calculator
# I have # [Optoma UHD30](https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1541700/optoma-uhd30.html) Via pc powerdvd 19 plays al format. make my custom 3d movies . with AnyMP4 Video Converter Ultimate
Itβs incredible. Get one with low latency (I have an Optoma UHD30, pushing 5 years old but has been great). I sit 15β back at 120β and itβs pretty ideal, especially with 7.1 surround.
A lot of projectors have an "eco" mode with significantly lower noise levels. I run an (ancient, I know) Optoma UHD30 and have had it on eco mode it's entire life.
I got the optoma 4k gaming projector. I think its awesome.

Yes absolutely. I'm in the projector game only for three days... Beginning with an Xgimi Halo+ (1080p) nearly instantly to an Optoma UHD. The difference is night and day. I sit 3 meters away from a 2,66m width screen. But even a 4K projector doesn't come close to my 75inch TV in sharpness. Edit: and yes i know the Optoma is only pixel shift. But it's way sharper than the Xgimi 1080p.
Have you considered buying used or refurbished? I got a nice 4k optoma for like $400
I have an optima 4k at 110" with a PS5 and gaming PC hooked up (mostly for sim racing). My son plays FPS on the PS5 and he has no problems with lag, constantly top of the scoreboard/victory royale/chicken dinners etc. IT looks fab and its relatively cheap for a big picture. It needs to be pretty dark, not pitch. We will probably go to a big TV next replacement cycle. Projector is noisy, hot and takes a lot longer than a TV to power up. You need to replace bulbs, which isn't cheap. It's just a bit more temperamental than a TV.
