I bought an Optoma uhz66 used on Ebay for $700. Most Optoma projectors can do 4k at 60hz and are incredibly cheap on Ebay. They have sub 15 millisecond response times as well. You definitely don't need to blow $1k+ on a gaming projector. $500-$1,000 can get your foot in the door. You won't regret your decision. Gaming on a projector is next level.
The uhz is the better projector but definitely get an extended warranty. If not available Iβd get the Epson which also looks great
I just picked up a Optoma UHZ66 and it looks great on my 100" screen.
Iβve got the optoma laser series, itβs 4k, and works happily with appleTV, and is very bright (and not too pricey)
Day or night? Assume night, the optoma laser series are very bright and not crazy price. I use one indoors, but room is pretty light during the day and image still good
Have you considered buying used or refurbished? I got a nice 4k optoma for like $400
I have an optima 4k at 110" with a PS5 and gaming PC hooked up (mostly for sim racing). My son plays FPS on the PS5 and he has no problems with lag, constantly top of the scoreboard/victory royale/chicken dinners etc. IT looks fab and its relatively cheap for a big picture. It needs to be pretty dark, not pitch. We will probably go to a big TV next replacement cycle. Projector is noisy, hot and takes a lot longer than a TV to power up. You need to replace bulbs, which isn't cheap. It's just a bit more temperamental than a TV.
