That projector was crazy good and still looks incredible assuming the panel has not degraded. That said…lamps are very difficult to find and it’s almost 15 years old. If you can get a grand take the money and run! Your best bet is to trade it in. Sony dealers currently have a trade in program on the BRAVIA 7
r/sony • VPL-VW1100ES Native 4K 3D SXRD Home Theater Projector ->I went the open box route, got a 4K Sony and never looked back. Sony optics and picture processing are the best available and their projectors are true 3-chip systems and native 4k.
r/projectors • Newbie looking to go from cheap Amazon projectors to true home theater projector ->Epson will be brightest and average contrast and blacks. Sony will be less bright but better contrast. JVC is lowest brightness but incredible blacks and contrast. Pick what you prefer.
