I got a Ultimea Apollo P40 a month ago and am very happy with it.
r/budgetprojectors • Looking for a home projector under 300£ in UK ->The Ultimea Apollo P-40 has a very nice picture and hdr support as well as sealed optics so there are no dirt specks on the screen. I have enjoyed it and it is currently under 200 on Amazon.
r/projectors • Best projector I can get for a budget of $300? ->I am saving up for the S Max, will take me quite some time but I'm excited and glad to see people praising Xgimi's projectors. It seems like the best bet for my situation. Currently have an Ultimea Apollo P40 which for only 200 bucks is very impressive, actually. I have a question for either of you about Dolby Vision on the projector...does it retain a similar look to Dolby Vision on a tv (i.e. highlight detail retention, better mapping of dark scene and colors, etc.)? I have only seen it on TVs but it seems to do its job well and fairly consistently regardless of the display tech and capabilities.
r/projectors • So You’re Thinking About Getting a Projector? ->Ultimea Apollo P40 puts out a great picture at 1080p and supports 4k input and hdr. It’s less than 200 dollars and mine has been given heavy use for over a year with no issues yet. The other suggestion is a good one, too.
r/budgetprojectors • Looking for an inexpensive but bright and clear projector for bedroom. ->Feel free to elaborate on your point and enlighten me, instead of just writing "you have no clue" I personally own a projector that costs exactly $199 – ultimea apollo P40 – and I know its pros and cons pretty well. After properly calibrating it (at first, it had extremely blue and inaccurate colors), aspects like brightness, sharpness, and contrast are absolutely acceptable. It doesn't suffer from issues like backlight bleeding, ghosting or aberration. The only cons of this projector is blooming of white elements on dark backgrounds and a relatively low sRGB coverage of around 65%, but that doesn’t bother me at all. I also have an OLED TV in my living room with clearly better image quality, yet I still often prefer using the projector. I originally bought this cheap projector after watching a professional YouTube review that confronted the manufacturer's lies — but surprisingly, despite obvious lies it performed really well in the test, which convinced me to give it a try. It ended up staying with me and I genuinely enjoy using it despite its flaws, which, as I mentioned, don't really bother me. It's a bit sad that some people need a budget 10 times higher just to feel fulfilled. Personally, I couldn't justify spending several thousand dollars on something I only use once a week and don’t have high expectations for.
