Got one love it, Chinese on the front page annoying setup is bearable in English, front end on the home page and installed apps apeer to be 1080p based on not being able to increase kodi past 1080p. The google stick they provide won't login to wifi. Sees network just never logs in. Didn't care got my own fire cube. And it looks glorious in 4k Dolby vision. HDR10÷. Sound is outstanding loud clear deep bass good balance. Haven't seen Dolby sound work properly yet but dtsX is great has usable EQ. And it does select dolby properly. Laser specle for me, I've only seen it looking at Dolby vision demo videos on YouTube when I first plugged it in. I have either tuned it out or just dont see it. Rainbow effect for me its annoying when im really tired and or wearing glasses at night. Its not something that shows on a photo or video. Its an optical effect created in you eyes when you are looking at something in the foreground like phone and your eyes are doing rapid movement. Glasses set it off mostly for me. With bright whites on the screen. I basically see the color wheel spinning for a split second. I spot it on average 4 times a day. I dont like it. Its annoying and I can see why a lot of people on this forum? Most said lamp projectors are better. And i now agree with them completely, when you're right, you're right. All good im keeping this because i like it. If i was buying again I would pick the visionmaster pro For the proper English operating system which makes it more usable. Although hardware is less powerful THE PICTURE ON THE VIDDA IS SO CLEAR AND LEGIT VISIBLE IN ANY LIGHT AND BONEWHITE WALLS are usable as a viewing area. If you stick to a painted wall after paying 3k for a projector just delete any login details for projector forums you are on. So you never announce what a useless wanker you are. Dont complain about specle or you colours are all fuked up. Nobody will care or help you because they cant. I would pick this for the better brightness and higher spec hardware for a better price that I will barely use because of the limitations of language barrier. And honestly 1080p homescreen I have not tried the default tv apps and there is no google store to go fishing for official apps compared to not quite right Chinese versions. Also I doubt the operating system supports widevine support properly. Pretty easy to sideload apps like they wanted you to do it. Vidda operating system lacks a proper settings menu so I have no way of setting the timezone for proper time display. And this annoys the shit out of me like I never thought it could. Also no proper settings menu means you cant check screen resolutions or see what bitrate your sound is working at easily. Tried the default prime app it wants an update and then tries to open play store from a browser Just managed to get play store to install because Firefox asked me to open app. Doesn't work . But if playstore installed i should be able to find a version of Gapps that could sideload. Ohh it hates opening the store. All this stuff here about the operating system does not matter because your fire cube will do all the driving and all is good. I just dont like wasting good hardware if I can help it. Once again picture quality superb , sound is jbl good Loud clear with an adjustable EQ. TWO HDMI and two usbtype A 3.1? ports. Rest not using. Remote is good back light metal feeling . That controls fire cube without a problem.HDMI-CEC great.

You would be better off giving them a purchase list of what you want. Then having then source it and install it.. Too much unknown here. This is the core system Sony STRAZ1000ES Premium ES 7.2 CH 8K A/V Receiver Sony BRAVIA Projector 7 - 4K HDR Laser Home Theater Projector with Native 4K SXRD Panel (VPL-XW5100ES), Black Reval speakers : W553L- LCR and W383- sourounds 1 svs pb2000 sub 1 3m passive radiator Core equipment price is 15,000usd Not bad.. but you can do way better. You would be better off with an az7000es reciever. (3500usd) <13 powered channels> And a klipsch suit of R-5502-W II in-walls for your 7 channal bed layer.. <1400usd> then CDT-5800-C II <1000usd> for your atmos.. and that Projector is over priced for the specs. Valerian VisionMaster Pro 4K RGB is an all around better Projector for 1/3 the cost.. <3000usd> Also klipsch rp1600sw x2 <3600usd> will set you back about double the cost of the svs but will provide considerably more ULF and LF and have better warentees <5 years drover and amp> Core Equipment for 7.2.6 system all in 12,000usd these are msrp prices and most of this can be sourced considerably less even if you add 5k for installation you still end up better off even with ALL of there other options left as is

Great points! I've personally been really happy with Valerion Vision Master Pro for creating that immersive, big-screen experience at home. It definitely delivers on the cinematic vibe in my controlled lighting space.

You're welcome. As for projectors the new Xgimi 20 series looks perfect... Mechanical zoom and lense shift and should basically fill as big a screen as you can fit in that space if you mount it right up close to the wall opposite the screen. I've got a Visionmaster Pro and wish id held out for a little longer - the xgimi looks like it's copied their best features and in a nicer looking package

Using the Valerion Pro for the last 10 months and its amazing. Everything is so crisp. When I'm watching TV or sports (not movies), I don’t even turn off the room lights. For the best experience - like a home theater - I dim the lights only when watching movies. This is my first big projector, so I can’t comment on the others you mentioned, but if you go with the Valerion, you won’t be disappointed!

The main advantage of a projector is size. You can get a 135" diagonal from a projector, which no TV that's affordable can possibly deliver. At 100" diagonal, TVs are the way to go most of the time. If your space supports it, just get a decent TV. Models like the Valerion Pro are solid enough and give good viewing, but they will suffer, as all projectors do, in any type of ambient light. I'm working with someone who will end up doing a 135" setup for his theater specific space, but will also have a couple of 100" displays in the rest of his basement for viewing in different areas.

Lifestyle models are basically taking over the home theater market in that price range. But, there are models which absolutely trash the old home theater models. Xgimi with their Horizon 20, the Valerion Visionmaster models, the Nexigo Trivision Ultra. These are all a different box around the projector, but the image quality they are delivering is really exceptional. Yeah, I've had issues with the format as well, but it is what the industry is doing at this point. More lifestyle models, less home theater specific models. The BenQ HT2060 is a solid 1080p LED projector, but for the money, there is just no chance I would purchase it.

Hi everyone! Im finally looking at finishing off my dedicated theater room and I'm on the lookout for a projector. I have been doing a fair bit of research but am a little stuck at the moment so some advice would be awesome. My budget is around $3000 AUD but can stretch it slightly if it's worth it. My room is light controlled and black from floor to ceiling. I'll be using a 120" screen and the seating position is approximately 3.5 ish meters. I'll be connecting the projector to a Marantz 6014 and my audio system and it will be ceiling mounted. Originally I was looking at the likes of the BenQ TK710 / 2720i but have stumbled across a second hand, two year old TW9400 for $1800AUD with about 1000 hours on the original bulb. For reference the 2720i is about $3200AUD. Should I consider the 9400 or are there better options I should be considering? Thanks. Edit: Ended up going for the Valerion Pro at $2599 AUD. Seemed to be the best of the bunch. Ceiling mounting this thing will be....fun.

Ahh I see. Well I'm the end there was a good deal on the valerion pro so that's what I ended up ordering. It seems to be the best option in my price range, though with no lens shift mounting it won't be particularly fun.

You could check out the Valerion Pro (not pro 2) which is sometimes on sale on eBay as “used” while on fact it is brand new. Awesome device.
