depends bro on what are your needs. There are 150$ projectors that are worth it and 150$ that are not. Same in all price ranges.. I have used for 4 years in my bedroom a vankyo v630, loud ventilators as fuck always on max, horrible speakers but pretty good picture quality and brightness. But for the price I loved it and solved a problem that I couldnt fit a TV in there. Now just got a wanbo vali 1 for 50% more money, which has pretty quiet fans, more brightness, better colors, incomparable speakers, smaller footprint, google tv etc... Still 240 USD not much for it in my opinion.

I've been using a Vankyo V630 for over 5 years now for movies. So far it's been great.

r/projectorsIs it worth it to buy projectors for around $100
3 months ago

Idk, I used a cheap 1080p Vankyo projector for a couple years and it wasn't that bad in a dark room. It eventually developed a brown heat spot so I gave it to the kids to use in their playroom, it is fine for them just projecting on a bare wall. Maybe I will replace the polarizer someday to fix the spot, but I got way more than my money's worth on it.
