$170 or so refurb viewsonic with 3500 lumens. There is no reason to buy new unless you just like spending money, impact screens aren’t smooth enough to take full advantage of newest 4k so 2.5k is usually smarter and 1080 is barely noticeably different from 4k for most folks. And 1080 is fine for the vast majority
Just picked up a new Viewsonic Lx-700 off woot for $670. If anyone is looking a not budget projector on a budget I highly recommend this now that I have it. It blows my benq ht2050 out of the water. 3500 lumens, laser light source, 4k dlp (240hz 1080p), and a vertical lens shift. I'll be throwing it in my theater tomorrow assuming my new hdmi cables come, but for now I have it on the deck and I couldn't be happier.
