Also check Viewsonic LX700-4K RGB, triple laser with 0.65". I run it on a white wall from 4.6m (140-150") and there's no speckle. There is some RBE though (I got used to it over time, now it's only noticeable with huge white text on black background). However it's a dumb projector, so PC or a dongle or console as a source is needed, and has a bunch of other tradeoffs. Most can be overcome though. Did a review of it here: [Viewsonic LX700-4K RGB review : r/projectors - https://www.reddit.com/](https://www.reddit.com/r/projectors/comments/1g6o94t/viewsonic_lx7004k_rgb_review/) >Brightness usually comes at a loss of color accuracy (green tinting) and contrast Yes, but on (probably all) modern projectors it's possible to take the brightness a few notches down and achieve the D65ish whites. >\>How important is interframe calculation ("Zwischenbildberechnung")? It's nice to have if you can set it properly - I use AviSynth scripts to do it, and with 27 fps it's just smooth enough without the soap opera effect (30fps it's too much, for me anyway). Whether your projector's firmware will be able to do 27fps is a question you probably won't find an answer to beforehand anywhere. Worst case, get a $200 4x4 x86 minipc with a wireless mouse and keyboard and you should be just fine.
r/projectors • <2000€ 4k/1080p Projector for non-optimal Home Cinema ->I've had a fair few 4k projectors. Had a benq w1070, could see RBE with that Viewsonic px749, x1 4k, lx700 all 3 had terrible RBE. Then I tried optoma uhd55 and zero to minimum RBE (You have to really look and move eyes really fast left to right to see it) turns out optoma have 8 segmented color wheels which very much nearly cures RBE. 4.2ms 240hz at 1080p 4k 60hz at 12ms ( I think) Brilliant quality. Remote is dog crap though.
r/projectors • Bought an expensive and a cheap projector. Time to see which one I keep ->Just picked up a new Viewsonic Lx-700 off woot for $670. If anyone is looking a not budget projector on a budget I highly recommend this now that I have it. It blows my benq ht2050 out of the water. 3500 lumens, laser light source, 4k dlp (240hz 1080p), and a vertical lens shift. I'll be throwing it in my theater tomorrow assuming my new hdmi cables come, but for now I have it on the deck and I couldn't be happier.
r/projectors • New Viewsonic lx-700 4k ->I'm real happy with my ViewSonic 4k projector. Sub 1000$
r/projectors • Semi-Portable Low Black Level Projector ($1000 budget) ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
