Same-Ad1228i'm currently doing the same sort of search as an upgrade/replacement for my viewsonic PJD7820HD, but the only absolute decision i'm commited to is 'not-bulb'. bought it used, replaced the bulb after \~2 years, and the replacement just broke after 18mo. got it for $100 and the bulb was only $120 but the extended period of being out of service, and the pain of remounting and realigning the projector was the nail in the coffin for bulbs, for me at least. watched the hook up video you linked and it sold me on the xgimi. just ordered. wow i guess this comment really evolved over writing it lol
