If you want a good looking one that has a shorter throwing range, check out the xgimi Aura 2
I bought an Xgimi Aura 2 UST projector and went on Alibaba to buy a Telon 100in ALR motorized floor rising screen. Helps free up my wall space while making the area look more minimalist. love it https://preview.redd.it/agvwyf3ja8oe1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30a4539e17f05f9b75a5b1396fd463feecb2537c
the budget allows you to range a lot. As an Xgimi fan I would advise you to consider purchasing an Xgimi Aura 2. I'll send you a link to take a look. considering the budget I would also opt for a high quality screen [AURA 2 - Transform Your Room into Cinema](https://eu.xgimi.com/pages/aura-2?_gl=1*1cvejx6*_up*MQ..*_gs*MQ..&gclid=CjwKCAjw5PK_BhBBEiwAL7GTPcUG_BW98kNJ3JYCBi3FShnQQ6BX4SRlx4zWU2xC0-kh_jZgFL7c_RoCXIoQAvD_BwE&gbraid=0AAAAACm1qjYb9oT93Zr1HGgmugKRa7lce)
As a XGIMI fan I would recommend the Aura series. The 2 is also an ultra short throw
3D has come a long way since that projector came out. XGIMI Aura 2 or more recent Horizon 20 Max would be provide far better 3d than that Sony
Yeah, tech has definitely moved on from the P2. If you’re locked into UST, the Hisense PX3-PRO and XGIMI Aura 2 are both solid upgrades in overall image quality, with better HDR and usability than the P2. Which one makes more sense really depends on what you care about most (gaming features vs pure movie performance vs brightness for a living room). The Aurora Pro mentioned below is also a clear step up from the P2, so it’s really a question of budget and which strengths line up best with your setup.
3D experience gets progressively better as screen size increases, so in that regard a UST looks much better than an OLED for 3D. That said, 3D on a DLP can sometimes have rainbows which wouldn't be present on an OLED. The best 3D UST that I've seen (and I think I've seen them all) is the XGIMI Aura 2.
3500 Pro was a very strong projector a few years ago, but it's been left in the dust by the Hisense PX3-Pro. That said, if your main focus is 3D XGIMI AURA 2 can't be beat.
Valerion!! I have the vision master pro 2. Upgraded from the xgimi 4k from 2023. It brighter and perfect for streaming. Movies. And gaming. It's tv quality. Research on YouTube n valerion mostly comes first. Depending on who's doing the reviews.
head over to r/budgetprojectors the best from those in the pic is the xgimi since they use DLP and not the cheap lcd that die 10x faster like vankyo/rca and a ton of other cheap/no-name brands vankyo is a cheap garbage brand dont get them (also lol that dochollywood12 blocked me because I called him out on spamming this subreddit with his garbage cheap projectors recommendations that are a waste of money)
I am not a shill, just a simple guy that needed a projector, my understanding of the brand is the old business thinking of your margin is my opportunity. Many brands were stagnant with high prices then XIGIMi comes with lense shift, higher ansi lumens and great quality at lower prices, why? Because they are hungry and want a good share of that margin, it is a great projector, anybody that has come to my house has immediately consider buying one based on the quality of the image. Their costumer service is great too. You may hate tha sub, but you might be missing out on good quality, order it via Amazon, if you are not impressed return it.
