Great picture/gaming, but RBE and no lens shift are dealbreakers.

Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
If you are a Netflix consumer, Elfin Flip Plus, if you are not a Netflix consumer (I only use Stremio) The old Elfin has 4k support, higher brightness, memc support and moves extremely well! Plus the 0.33 chip, larger than the Flip ones! I was undecided between the three too, I chose the old one with android tv! Plus, with an adapter like this https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0F1YG7VK1?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1¤cy=EUR and a 65w battery with power delivery you make it truly portable. You can replace the power brick with a smaller and easier to transport and install 65-100w power supply.
Check this, you have here dangbei atom and benq gv50: https://youtu.be/jmmGQOSAReI?si=mk5zE9Dv7LKLEVwe Xgimi elfin flip is a little weak and it has a proprietary software. Better is the old version of elfin (similar with halo+ on performance). I have Xgimi Halo+ and I like it very much. I use it in my living room in the evening for movies and with ps5. I bought it new with discount at aprox 500 eur last year. Wanted dangbei atom or benq gv50 but at that time were both at 700-800 eur…
If you have a Apple TV, save the money and buy the Elfin non plus model - it's the same projector but without Google TV.
Xgimi elfin is vantasic. Has auto keystone correction so you don’t struggle to line it up with the screen.
From my experience, 300 real ansi lumens is enough for dark room I gifted my friend Xgimi elfin some years ago For the budget projector check https://youtu.be/vHmy8sobWEc?si=IjGRLxh_TsuV3hj_
With that wall, put a bigger screen!! And move those speakers to the side a bit maybe a good soundbar in the middle (Sonos Arc 😎) as far as the projector goes, I've had my eye on the Xgimi Horizon S Max. I'm using an Xgimi Elfin now and it's pretty sweet, been wanting to upgrade myself. The ultra short throw projectors are cool and all, but you're gonna pay a few grand if you go that route

Epson
Home Cinema 5050UB (V11H930020)
Great value with huge lens shift, but outdated lamp tech and poor HDR.
Epson
Pro Cinema LS12000 4K PRO-UHD Laser Projector
Superb 4K/120Hz gaming and no RBE, but requires calibration.

BenQ
W1070
Budget king, durable with good image, but RBE can be distracting.

BenQ
HT2060
Excellent 1080p contrast and quiet gaming, but low brightness for big screens.
