I got an offer on Mogo 2 and stand for £160 and took it. Hope I like it.
r/budgetprojectors • Are portable projectors a good idea when my portable distance is limited in my house? ->Thanks mate. Mogo 2 pro is out of my budget, but I am thinking of stretching for Mogo 2.
r/budgetprojectors • Are portable projectors a good idea when my portable distance is limited in my house? ->If you don't plan to ceiling mount - I just got a [refurb Xgimi](https://us.xgimi.com/pages/refurbished) Mogo2 for my office for under $200 and it's great for my use. If your budget is $500 you could spring for the Halo+ which is a pretty widely recommended budget/portable option. But again, not sure how "mountable" these projectors are. Mine is on a tripod beside my desk.
r/projectors • Best Budget Projector for Movies at Home (2025) ->Hello, you can grab basicly every projector with a 40 inch screen. I'm using a xgimi mogo 4 right now (the basemodel) for on the go and its plenty bright for that screen size. if you want to to save a bit of money, you could choose the mogo 2; but that doesn't feature netflix. so for me it would be mogo 3 or 4. both are vaild options.
r/projectors • Projector to sit a foot from TV but don’t need image more the 40” ->The Xgimi MoGo 2 used to retail for €600 and selling for 250. Great one.
r/budgetprojectors • Best cheap projector ? ->I think XGIMI Halo+ would also fit your criteria, It is also on sale right now and costing around 500 euros. I have XGIMI MOGO 2 myself, but Halo+ would be even better
r/projectors • Projector recommendations around 500€ for Home Cinema, Europe Market ->I’ve been using the MoGo 2 for a while, and it’s been great for indoor movie nights. The MoGo 4 is a solid upgrade with a brighter image, built-in battery, and a 360° stand make it more versatile for different setups. If you’re looking for something portable that works well in various settings, the XGIMi Mogo series (Mogo 4 if you have the budget) is definitely worth considering
r/projectors • Best Portable Projectors? ->I recommend to look towards XGIMI. They are a lot more user-friendly than your examples and better picture quality as well. XGIMI Mogo 2 or Mogo 2 Pro would fit into your budget as well. I can only recommend based on my experience as I have been using Mogo 2 for some time now and been happy about it.
r/budgetprojectors • Can't decide on a budget projector ->I have used a few year old model (Mogo 2) and the picture quality is surprisingly good! In terms of Netflix availability it depends on the model. With Mogo 2 you would have to use Desktop Launcher to get the app or use a TV stick. I just use my phone and Airplay/Chromecast from Netflix. Nevertheless, XGIMi has just released Mogo 2 (New) which now supports Netflix again.
r/budgetprojectors • Can't decide on a budget projector ->i prefer the look of mogo2... matches size and shape of my sonos plays not much of an upgrade either
r/projectors • Best Projector (Budget: $500) ->Xgimi seems fine. Probably the Elfin/mogo2 or mogo 3. Depending on what's available on Amazon India. The problem with all these brands is after sales. Brands like benq/Epson have physical stores in most metro cities. Their projectors are expensive but probably more reliable. I have already suffered once by buying the Wanbo X5 for 25K. Worked flawlessly but within 9 months it just dropped dead and stopped working. Customer care is absolutely pathetic.
r/projectors • Suggest me the best projector with good display (will be using it with streaming stick) under 20k (250 USD max) and should be available in Amazon India. ->I'm scared after reading this, but my experience with Xgimi is they last a long time. My Xgimi mogo is my everyday tv. Yup, I use my projector as a TV. It broke about 4 months ago. I do tech repairs, I'll come back to that in a second. I liked it so much that about a yr and ½ I got another 1 for $80 on ebay that wasn't working. I fixed it and kept it as a back up. So 3 -4 years as a daily driver is pretty sweet if you ask me. Especially for a machine that isnt intended for everyday use.Now back to mine breaking and the "I do tech repairs." I came home to my projector on. No ghost, it turned it self on. Then I couldn't turn it off, or control it in any way and wifi said not connected. I connected a USB controller, I could then control it. Still couldn't connect to wifi, but I could still 100% use it with my Nvidia Shield or my Xbox. I had the bright idea to factory reset it. BIG MISTAKE. I couldn't figure out why the wifi wasn't working and the actual Xgimi remote wouldn't work even though it worked for the $80 backup I had. So here is the unfortunate eye opening experience I learned. After the factory reset, what's the first thing that happens when you turn on your Xgimi projector...? You have to sync the remote with the projector. It doesn't matter if you plug in a USB controller like I did when my controller didn't work. That will not work until you sync the controller. A USB controller will not work. Nothing will work until you sync the controller. Now back to the tech guy thing. So with Xbox and Playstation, the Bluetooth is usually also part of the wifi. You still with me? So the wifi chip is the Bluetooth chip. Which is the reason my controller won't work and the same reason my wifi wont work. Wait for it...... If I can't sync my controller via Bluetooth, I can't use my projector because the first thing you need to do, is sync your controller. So now my awesome projector that's worked for years just turns on and asks me to sync. No getting past that. Thank God I had the backup. For those that are going to ask, well, tech guy, why didn't you fix it. 4 reason, 1: I got the backup for $80 bucks, so who cares. 2: There are no schematics on it. 3: It's an absolute nightmare taking apart because of its super small form factor and 4:since I can't find schematics on it, Im pretty sure i wont be able to find a replacement wifi/bluetooth chip. Now back to the im scared thing. If this thing only last a year, I'll go postal. Speaking of postal. It's being delivered today. Stupid post guy said he tried to deliver yesterday and said I wasn't here. Meantime, I was sitting in my living room all day, finally enjoying a day off. So now I'm going to wait again and hope this time I hear him. I'll give an update later. Hopefully, it'll last for years like my old 1 did. If it dies after 1 yr I'll be pissed. I mean, 2 thousand dollars pissed. Only time will tell. Sorry that was so long. Just wanted to share my personal experience.
r/projectors • Just got my xgimi horizon s max ->Mogo is solid if u’re chasing colors & portability but Dangbei Atom at 699$ maybe a better pick if you want to use at home for long hours
