VisionMaster Pro 2
Great picture/gaming, but RBE and no lens shift are dealbreakers.

Same. Bought one at beginning of pandemic, and it's still going strong.
That’s such a cozy setup, man! 😄 Since the distance is only around 3.2 m and the ceiling is slanted, I’d skip any complicated mounts and just go for a **small portable projector with auto focus and keystone** — way easier to deal with. * **BenQ GV50** – perfect size for a bedroom, nice picture and sound. * **Dangbei Atom** or **XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro** – quiet, have Google TV built-in and super easy to move around. If your budget’s around **€700**, those models are the sweet spot — clean setup, no cables all over the place, and great for watching in bed.
Is the input lag noticeable when gaming with keystone active? My setup doesn’t allow my current projector (Mogo Pro 2) to hit the wall at a right angle, so keystone is active and the lag is terrible, especially in racing games. I was wondering if upgrading to H20 Pro would improve the experience
Thanks. How is lens shift similar to keystone? I thought it’s just a picture displacement feature that lets you move your picture around, but my projector is tilted in relation to “screen” so keystone is inevitable
The XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro could be one option if you want a projector that works well for gaming without spending crazy money— you cand find it approximately around $300. The plus side is that it has a dedicated Game Mode that drops input lag to about 33 ms (with Auto-Keystone turned off). That’s a really solid number for casual and even semi-competitive gaming, making it feel responsive for consoles like the Switch, PS5, or Xbox. Even though it is a 1080p resolution, it has good brightness for its size, and portability, so for roughly the price of a mid-range TV, it’s a strong pick if gaming performance matters to you.
I think XGIMI Halo+ would also fit your criteria, It is also on sale right now and costing around 500 euros. I have XGIMI MOGO 2 myself, but Halo+ would be even better
I’ve been using the MoGo 2 for a while, and it’s been great for indoor movie nights. The MoGo 4 is a solid upgrade with a brighter image, built-in battery, and a 360° stand make it more versatile for different setups. If you’re looking for something portable that works well in various settings, the XGIMi Mogo series (Mogo 4 if you have the budget) is definitely worth considering
I recommend to look towards XGIMI. They are a lot more user-friendly than your examples and better picture quality as well. XGIMI Mogo 2 or Mogo 2 Pro would fit into your budget as well. I can only recommend based on my experience as I have been using Mogo 2 for some time now and been happy about it.
I have used a few year old model (Mogo 2) and the picture quality is surprisingly good! In terms of Netflix availability it depends on the model. With Mogo 2 you would have to use Desktop Launcher to get the app or use a TV stick. I just use my phone and Airplay/Chromecast from Netflix. Nevertheless, XGIMi has just released Mogo 2 (New) which now supports Netflix again.
I’d recommend the XGIMI MoGo 4 Laser with PowerBase + screen bundle (~€950) — super portable, works well indoors and outdoors, and gives you good brightness for evening use. I’ve had the MoGo 2 and it’s been great, but with kids and flexible use, the MoGo 4 setup is the better all-rounder. Just note: no projector in this price range will look great in full daylight, so plan for shaded/evening viewing.
I had the same issue with Mogo 2 when used for gaming, only "game mode" without keystone worked alright in terms of input lag, but that is understandable for a cheaper and portable device. I now have H20 Max and with lens shift/optical zoom there are no issues at all, no input lag whatsoever
Yes! I have Mogo 2 and for casual gaming with "game mode" picture mode this is a very cheap and viable option. I use Airpods through bluetooth when I have to be quiet, but the original Harman&Kardon speakers are very nice as well.
I was tired of watching stuff on a 17"screens and my flat is too small for a big tv, and i have no good white walls. Since i only had 600€ euros to spare , i took a leap of faith and bought a xgimi mogo pro 2 , and a tensioned motorized screen , both for around 300€... I don't expect miracle, but since i can get complete darkness in that flat , and i can place the projector at the perfect spot according to specs, i suppose it will be better than my laptop screen and speakers. I'll keep you posted on how it turns out.
If you can have complete darkness in your room and place perfectly your projector 1m95 away from your screen , as i did , i m actually really happy with the Xgimi mogo 2 pro , image wise and sound wise. Bust quality becomes shit if no complete darkness or if you need to use keystone because your projector is not perfectly placed (2m away maximum from the center of the screen). Also i project on a decent screen.
I had a neopix prime one which did the job for a while. But it was loud and eventually died. I ended up buying an xgimi mogo 2 pro this year, I got it for 300ish off of amazon. I used to use a Bluetooth speaker for the old projector but the new one has built in one's that are good enough. The audio and picture aren't going to be as good as 1k+ setups but it's plenty good for me. I also bought a projector screen, this is the one https://amzn.eu/d/05X9B77. I think it was about 70e at the time? It came with a stand which kind of sucks tbh but we have wardrobes on the wall opposite the bed which I put 2 sticky wall hooks. It takes 2 mins to pop it up and down.
