Horizon Ultra is the export version of the Chinese version RS 10 Plus, which sells for $850 in China. Other than the price, it is a solid machine. I have its big brother, RS 10 Ultra, and I've been so far very satisfied with it (only key difference being brightness). Blacks are meh, this is what you get from any home projectors. 60Hz is also by design -- it uses a 240Hz 1080p DMD with quadruple scanning, so 4 scans per 4K frame, yielding 60Hz. Mine came with 120Hz gaming mode, though it only works at 1080p.
r/projectors • Thoughts on Xgimi horizon Ultra ->Indeed. I even tested with CAD programs (you know, tons of thin one-pixel lines), and my RS 10 Ultra looks amazing. That being said, its $1200 price tag is what makes it less of an option when being compared with LCD TVs. The cheapest full array local dimming 100" LCD here is from Toshiba, at a similar price tag ($1300?), and of course, it blows any consumer projector out in every aspect rest of screen size, and it doesn't need a fan.
r/projectors • Is a 4 K projector worth it? ->I have XGIMI Ultra and it's been great
r/projectors • Recommendations for 4K laser home projectors that excel in high brightness? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
