r/projectorsThoughts on Xgimi horizon Ultra
8 months ago

Horizon Ultra is the export version of the Chinese version RS 10 Plus, which sells for $850 in China. Other than the price, it is a solid machine. I have its big brother, RS 10 Ultra, and I've been so far very satisfied with it (only key difference being brightness). Blacks are meh, this is what you get from any home projectors. 60Hz is also by design -- it uses a 240Hz 1080p DMD with quadruple scanning, so 4 scans per 4K frame, yielding 60Hz. Mine came with 120Hz gaming mode, though it only works at 1080p.

r/projectorsIs a 4 K projector worth it?

Indeed. I even tested with CAD programs (you know, tons of thin one-pixel lines), and my RS 10 Ultra looks amazing. That being said, its $1200 price tag is what makes it less of an option when being compared with LCD TVs. The cheapest full array local dimming 100" LCD here is from Toshiba, at a similar price tag ($1300?), and of course, it blows any consumer projector out in every aspect rest of screen size, and it doesn't need a fan.

Valerion!! I have the vision master pro 2. Upgraded from the xgimi 4k from 2023. It brighter and perfect for streaming. Movies. And gaming. It's tv quality. Research on YouTube n valerion mostly comes first. Depending on who's doing the reviews.

r/projectorsBest Budget Projector

head over to r/budgetprojectors the best from those in the pic is the xgimi since they use DLP and not the cheap lcd that die 10x faster like vankyo/rca and a ton of other cheap/no-name brands vankyo is a cheap garbage brand dont get them (also lol that dochollywood12 blocked me because I called him out on spamming this subreddit with his garbage cheap projectors recommendations that are a waste of money)

r/projectorsAny good budget projectors that aren't xgimi?

I am not a shill, just a simple guy that needed a projector, my understanding of the brand is the old business thinking of your margin is my opportunity. Many brands were stagnant with high prices then XIGIMi comes with lense shift, higher ansi lumens and great quality at lower prices, why? Because they are hungry and want a good share of that margin, it is a great projector, anybody that has come to my house has immediately consider buying one based on the quality of the image. Their costumer service is great too. You may hate tha sub, but you might be missing out on good quality, order it via Amazon, if you are not impressed return it.
