Greetings. I recently got the Yaber L2s as my first projector and while I don't dislike it, I'm wondering if there would be something more fitting for my setup. Focus is on long throw with a decently quiet fan, and of course the best picture quality for the budget (about 200€ on sale, in Germany). The throw distance is 3.5 meters (11.4 ft) and my screen is 160x90 cm (72"). The projector is at about 180 cm (5.9 ft) from the ground and level with the top of the screen. I got the L2s because of the integrated speakers and ANSI 700, but I will end up using external speakers anyway, so I don't really need that. I bought it for 170€ new, but I'd be open to buying second hand too, if I knew what to look for. I do not need it to be good for gaming or anything other than a few streaming services. I only need an HDMI port for Chromecast (integrated OS is fine too) and enough quality light for nighttime low light use. It doesn't need to be portable, instead, as little fan noise as possible would be good. The Yaber L2s is about 34 dB up close and 24 dB from where I'm sitting, which doesn't sound like a lot, but for some reason it's quite distracting for me in this case (but should hopefully improve with external speakers). Any quality picture bang-for-buck recs welcome and also any guidance looking for listings on eBay/Kleinanzeigen for my long-throw setup. Or if the Yaber L2s sounds like a decent option anyway, then I'd also be happy to hear about that.
r/budgetprojectors • Long-throw alternatives to Yaber L2s ->I had it and ended up returning it. The image uniformity was terrible—there were clearly distinguishable areas with more brightness than others. They sent me another projector, and the same thing happened. However, I reached an agreement with the manufacturer, switched to a V12, and honestly, it’s much better. The uniformity issue is still there, but it’s less noticeable. Take a look at the K2S, which has a longer throw than the V12 and L2S, and might be a better fit for your needs.
r/budgetprojectors • Long-throw alternatives to Yaber L2s ->These worth the extra money over the Yaber L2S? That is just a real entry level unit? If so I’ll prob grab one of these used ones.
r/budgetprojectors • decent projector for outdoors NJ under $250 ->If your budget is only a couple of hundred then I think buying one from Amazon is fine. I guess you need to temper expectations though. I also live in an apt so I get it. I have a cheapie in the bedroom and a bigger projector in the living. Wimius and Yaber are your best bets on Amazon. Something like the Wimius k9. They all have downsides though, they’re noisy, image can be a bit soft, halos etc but overall if you’re watching Netflix etc they work just fine…
r/projectors • Bright, quiet projector with good speakers ~$300 range....? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
