Hoping for some advice! I have just installed a Cloudforge T3 in my Milsbo to aid with humidity control. In the setup it says not to slope the hose downward though I don’t really have another option. Has anyone had experience with humidifier hoses? I keep a ghost orchid (dendrophyllax lindenii) hence the need for such high humidity.

~£70 on Amazon. Slightly cheaper on AC infinity site though needed the fast delivery 😅. So far I’m very impressed. Last one broke - habistat humidifier 4.5l. Lasted a year then leaked all over the floor

I think the main reason you want the hose mostly sloping up is because the way it’s placed in the picture will cause some drops to drip out of the hose rather than the full vapor cloud. Should still work and be fine for humidity but will drip some water straight down vs having the hose upwards. I had one of these where I was able to put the hose in thru a side port and kept it on floor level next to it.

Yeah should be fine if you still see humid vapor coming out and the humidity is what you want. Worst case maybe you’d need to refill a little more often? I figured it was a limitation like that though, totally get that. I would add a drip tray to the cabinet if it doesn’t have something like that already though in addition to the moss ideally.

I have one of those also and it’s not just some dropping it’s a lot of dropping I ended up using fishing line to hold the end of the hose up so I just get the cloud and no dripping.

Mine did too. Was going to use it in my 2x2 for drying, but no matter what I do it won't work because it thinks the water tank is missing. It is not.

So far, it is perfectly maintaining a 60% RH in a 2x2 full of my outdoor stalks hang drying.

I use a mister and humidifier. The enclosure is in a dry room, and has living plants so I've found it to need both. Mister is the Thrive model that hangs on the tank. Timer set for 8hrs and a 15 second duration. It's largely to water the plants to keep them moist but I also water individually as needed. And the humidifier is an AC Infinity one meant for a grow tent I had kicking around. It's connected to their Controller 69 which monitors the temperature and humidity, turning it off and on as needed along with the heat bulbs. But the humidity is set to 78% with a 5% variant.

Ac infinity all the way. Whatever you get, you want something that can modulate based on Vapor pressure deficit (VPD) not humidity. t3 is a good model for a cabinet

Get the AC infinity one. You can set it to a target. Best thing ever. And you can always red neck a bigger reservoir. It's about as powerful as I can get without going commercial. Altho with the app integration you could probably use a few of the bigger ones for smaller commercial ops
