Apt is about 1400 sq ft. Upstairs and downstairs. I believe my furnace is pulling the moisture out of the air. Yes it is working correctly because when in set it to level 3 it lowers the humidity by a couple of more points. I also have the Dreo evaporative model that I mainly use for the bedroom. Overall depending on the outside temp I can get 25-30% humidity upstairs and downstairs. I am in the frigid North East, so we are talking in the 20’s outside at night.

I just bought the Dreo smart humidifier to replace a Honeywell cool mist. I like the Dreo because it tells me what the humidity is in my bedroom and I can set the level I want it at and it will turn off when it gets there. Cleaning it is not favorite but it’s not the end of the world either. I fill the tank with vinegar and water and let it sit for 20 minutes, wipe everything down with odoban and rinse everything and reassemble. I have been using regular tap water and it seems to be going okay. The directions say it’s okay. There are different sizes of the Dreo but I got the small one and the first couple nights when I was figuring out settings our bedroom had actual fog because it was so humid. The app is easy to use and gives notifications on things like filter changes and cleaning.

Shit. Help a brother out. What do you think of this one? https://a.co/d/aJ0oFfT Just started using it. Has made a huge impact but don’t want to end up breathing mold in a few weeks.

I use the humidifier from DREO. I love it! Comes with an app and fairly easy to clean. The biggest thing I’ve found is was you have to use distilled water (or from my Brita in my case). Also I’m new to the harp, should we be using humidifiers in the winter to keep them safe??

I have a dreo humidifier, I like it. I did have it leak once but after some research I think it was user error.

I bought a nice one on Amazon this year. The brand is "Dreo". Everything on them comes a part super easy for cleaning. I like it a lot so far.

I’ve noticed it depends on the machine, how much vapor it produces, and how high you run it. I had a Honeywell humidifier that was an absolute beast and produced tons of vapor even on the lowest setting, and that’s when the dust was the worst. I now have two Dreo humidifiers that have integrated hygrometers and modulate the vapor based on the RH. I haven’t had a dust issue with those.
