I've been using a DREO HM735F tower that holds about 3 gallons and runs for a couple days without refil. There is a dreo integration for HA and they also integrate via Tuya and localtuya. I can't say I ever used it via HA since it's fill and chill but it works.
I’ve been using [this](https://x.com/BestDealRadar/status/2012175998192693442) Dreo humidifier for a while now and it’s honestly been one of the easier ones to live with. It’s quiet enough to run all night, actually raises the humidity without leaving puddles, and the self-cleaning part helps a lot with maintenance (which was my biggest issue with past ones). I also haven’t noticed any white dust so far. It’s not perfect, but it’s the first humidifier I didn’t give up on after a few weeks.
I have a couple DREO that I like a lot. One is a big 2.9 Gal and another that’s 1 Gal. They’re WiFi enabled so I get notifications when they run dry. They also have humidistats so I can set my desired humidity level and not worry about it getting too high and causing mold etc..
I’ve been using a dreo cool mist smart humidifier for a couple years and I really like it. The directions do say it can be used with tap water but it works much better with distilled water. I’ve been using distilled water and I only have to clean it once per week with a quick rinse with vinegar. No scale build up and no mold. It still looks brand new. I got tired of buying distilled water so I did buy a water distiller. It’s super easy to make distilled water and I can store a week’s worth in glass jars and then just fill the humidifier up as needed. Otherwise I would have to buy 10 gallons of distilled water per week. The Dreo humidifier is nice because it measures the humidity in the room and turns off when it is optimal so I don’t have to think about it. It also tells me when to change the cartridge.
I went through three WiFi enabled smart humidifiers (Govee, Dreo and Levoit) and I hated all of them. I assumed that because none of them had wicks and they were easy to clean and I was using only distilled water I would have no issues. I had terrible issues. I finally went back to my Honeywell HCM350B germ free cool mist humidifier I bought in 2019. I can toss the parts in the dishwasher to sanitize them, the wicks (use Honeywell brand wicks for no smell) last a while because I use distilled water and it has three modes - low, medium and high. If you want WiFi this is not for you. If you want lights and an app this is not for you. If you want to know the humidity in your room, this is definitely not for you. If you want an easy to clean and easy to fill humidifier for a small space that will last the rest of your life, buy this humidifier.
Purchased a new Dreo ultrasonic off of Amazon. It has a setting to dial in preferred humidity and will adjust output as needed. It keeps my 2000 sq/ft home around 40% despite lots of heat use and very dry air. I do recommend one.
we have a dreo stand alone... Works great but you need distilled water, otherwise all of them will clock up in a heart beat. They do work, but you have to be aware of your house insulation situation...the more you have humidity, the higher are the odds of accidental dew point issues on walls etc...causing mold
