Run time will really depend on the settings you choose. I have a Homedics 2 gallon Costco special edition that was $60ish and even on high would last 2 days, lower settings would last longer. I also have a 1.25g Levoit for my bedroom that I'd only turn on at night on high and that would last me 2 days as well. Both are whisper quiet. My main concern other than capacity was ease of cleaning. Even though I'm using distilled water, I'd still do quick cleans a few times during the season, and then a deep clean at the end before packing away for storage during the warmer months. So keep that in mind when picking one as well. One other thing you may want to look out for is a "night mode" that turns off any of the leds on the machine at night. Edit: the Levoit is the smaller OasisMist, I would have preferred the next size up simply for capacity but it only comes in black and that wouldn't fit my bedroom aesthetic

Looks like it's a defect from manufacturing. The most helpful review on [costco](https://www.costco.com/p/-/homedics-warm-and-cool-mist-uv-c-ultrasonic-2g-humidifier/4000390953) from KBwsNC describes a fix: > So I looked into the float mechanism that registers water level in the base and sure enough eyed an ever so small item keeping the reservoir plunger just slightly elevated. Pulled out this tiny 1 x 2 mm twisted piece of plastic from the manufacturing process and it's working beautifully. Trialed it in the sink for hours to ensure it was not going to leak all again. Tight, no leaking! Pictures added to show the tiny plastic piece and the plunger piece it was stuck under. Keeping this lovely humidifier with all of it's nice features :)

I just picked up a 2 gallon one at Costco and it uses some pod thing so I can fill from the tap. I was surprised it’s not requiring distilled.

I’ve been running it nonstop for three days with no issues so far. Think I’ll be heading back to pick up another one because it was only $65. https://www.costco.com/p/-/homedics-warm-and-cool-mist-uv-c-ultrasonic-2g-humidifier/4000390953

Same thing happened to mine. Assumed i didn't seat something right or i missed an O-ring when i cleaned it lost, and it's been sitting in the corner till I felt i had enough brain power to deal with it.

I bought it with a discount so around $60. Too worried after reading many comments on Costco then I realized that I can just put it inside a plastic basin. The only humidifier available at my local costco so

it happens to mine randomly. It will do it once or twice a season and never again. Very random

Had the exact same issue. Plenty of other good humidifiers out there
