None of those are even close to the top. A stainless steel warm mist for me. Livatro 3L Stainless Steel on Amazon, just a china brand, but they make the prolific plastic ones in that list feel like garbage.

I’m looking for one too! In addition to CarePod, I found the Livatro brand has a stainless steel tank as well.

Yay! That is the Livatro model I was looking at too! I think I’ll order it soon and pass on the Care Pod: thank you :)

I did! I got the Livatro. There is plastic encasings, but the heating element and water container + inner lid are all stainless steel. I did not want an ultrasonic humidifier, nor did I want to pay more than ~$100.

Thank you for the note about ultrasonic humidifiers too! I don’t like that the Livatro stainless steel tank sits and probably heats around the plastic, but there are so few options! Maybe this is the best bet.

I bought the Livatro warm mist humidifier a couple of weeks ago after concerns/learning about white dust and having my newborn around it. It is a boiled water humidifier and it is super convenient. It's in a black box, looks super sleek and just has a stainless steel bucket that goes inside. There's a locking feature on it so that no one can tip it over or open it and the outside does not get hot. It also Auto turns off if it ever gets tipped to a 45° angle or more. To clean it it goes in the dishwasher, or if you have hard tap water like I do you can put in white vinegar and water and run its auto clean feature and it completely cleans all the scale off of it. It's such a game changer in terms of humidifier, I love it. You have to have to have the patience though for about 30 to 40 minutes for the mist to start going when the water boils. Wow! I didn't expect making this thread would lead to anything, but here it is! The Livatro 3L Warm Mist Stainless Steel Humidifier [https://www.livatro.com/products/3l-warm-mist-stainless-steel-humidifier](https://www.livatro.com/products/3l-warm-mist-stainless-steel-humidifier) is exactly what I'm looking for! No plastic (even the lid is stainless steel, one like in premium rice cookers), warm steam (so no foreign particles and all bacteria killed, because it's boiled). It even has lifetime warranty if you register it. Don't get the CarePod though. From what I can tell they are all ultrasound humidifiers which vaporize not only water but everything else too such as germs, detergents and toxins. Even their ultraexpensive Cube Plus seems to be just a ultrasound humidifier. I have one (they are extremely cheap to produce and can be bought for as little as $3) and while it looks nice it's useless, it's not clear whether even using it properly (which is very hard) will improve health or worsen it.

r/DryeyesBest humidifier? I’m in uk. And should I get humidifier with tap water or distilled? What do you use?

They have humidifiers that are really easy to clean. The Livatro Warm Mist humdifier is basically just a pot you need to clean out weekly. The machine boils the water basically, so it's always kinda clean. I don't know it I fully recommend it, though

I've been leaning toward the Livatro warm mist unit since it's all stainless steel on the inside and *should* be simpler to clean than my wick based evaporative. It helped to actually consider a "boiler" type unit when I realized I'm only running this thing when it's cold out anyway. YMMV.

Wanted to give these guys a shout out, because they are a small business and they’re living the goddamn American dream I first started my search for a humidifier by googling “best humidifier” after a couple minutes of reading, it was clear that many of them were SEO farms, and manipulation from big business Many of the units look like they came from the same factory in China, just with a different brand name slapped on before it’s sold on Amazon I eventually got lucky and stumbled upon this brand This unit has a stainless steel tank, and is built like something from 1974. I fully expect this to last. I hope that this Reddit thread comes up when people google “ best humidifier” in the future and that these guys get every last bit of glory that they deserve. If you have struggled to find a good humidifier or are sick of cheap crap recommended from bullshit website like wirexutter then check these guys out. I am not affiliated with them in any way, and only I’m posting this because I believe that they deserve it number one, number two it’s a fantastic unit that shits on any other humidifier that I’ve had, and number three, you deserve to know. Long live the American dream! I’m ready for big business bots to downVote me. Fuck you.

The one that I bought from them is not an ultrasonic humidifier But is a warm mist steam humidifier With a 304 USU stainless steel tank. Willing to invest in an air quality monitor to test out results, will be sure to create another thread when I make my discovery

I will be sure to keep you updated. I’ve only had it for two days now, but it’s honestly changing my life. I’ve got some serious nasal issues and have had other warm mist humidifiers, but this one is doing so much better of a job of keeping the air humid and somehow isn’t soaking anything either. Air quality is definitely important though, I’ll be sure to keep that updated. I think it’s really important that we support American companies, and I actually think that there’s a chance that this might be a one or two person operation. So damn grateful for this thing.

Yes, it looks like it is based right out of California. I was honestly shocked when I saw that! I’ve only had the unit for two days now, but it has exceeded expectations. It is adequately keeping about 1000 ft.² humid for me right now, and is making all the difference in the world with my empty nose syndrome. The mist is not soaking the things around it like units I’ve had in the past, and it is whisper quiet There are three different humidity level settings. The sleep setting allows it to continuously run for up to 10 hours. The other two modes are normal and fast.: they each respectively last six hours and four hours and each raise the humidity level by 10%, with the sleep setting starting at 55% The unit seems too easy to clean. It comes apart in just a few simple pieces, but not only that, the direction say to mix 20g citric acid, and it just cleans itself on a clean cycle. I think there is more maintenance that you need to do potentially but reading through the directions that actually seems like the only thing you need to do. Part of what made me post this, is not only the unit quality, but yes, it is buried on Google. The care pod seems to get all the headlines, but I don’t see a single advantage that the carepod offers over this, which was the only other humidifier I could find with a stainless steel tank - I’m sure I missed a couple here there but I’ve been so disappointed by some of the other units that I’ve tried, ones recommend recommended by those paid off shills, this is a piece of equipment that you will enjoy simply looking at, because it’s Build quality is that good.

Livarto. I go to war for these people because I’m sick of all the junk out there. Stainless steel tank and American company FTW
