The TURBRO Greenland GLS04 is a warm mist humidifier that uses “rice cooker” tech. I use regular tap water and rinse it before refilling. Low maintenance and it doesn’t mist all the bacteria and other elements like an ultrasonic humidifier does.
I’m glad to see this post. I just got this same one and agree it seems like a solid piece, very well built with a small footprint. I haven’t used it yet because I watched a video (unfortunately after opening the box) that shows a pretty bright orange glow coming from where the mist flows. I find light at night keeps me awake so I wrote to Turbro and it turns out if you’ve opened the box (even unused) the product can’t be returned. So, wondering if anyone has dealt with this yet. Other than the light issue it seems like an excellent humidifier and easy to maintain.
Yes! I finally figured it out. Once the unit is plugged in and you choose your setting you just press the lock button on the bottom and the light turns off. It would’ve been more intuitive if they’d had a lightbulb but easy to turn off once I figured it out.
Oops. Well, I found out once I turned on the humidifier it does indeed allow that blazing orange light to turn off! So far very happy with this!
A huge yes! Heating makes a humidifier even more necessary. You could look at my previous posts, I asked a pretty much the same question a few weeks ago, and the answer is yes. I went with steam warm mist humidifier. It's very easy to clean, there is only one water tank, no filter needed. You could just put the water tank in the dishwasher. I went with Turbro Greenland humidifier over Blueair and Levoit, and it's a very satisfactory expreience overall. The humidifier is very easy to get set up and refill. And the design is very simple, just a stain steel tank inside, which makes it very easy to clean, and no gross mineral build-up, I like that about this machine. It usually takes around 20 minutes for it to heat, and it can last overnight. It's perfect for my dry skin, especially with the heater on. And usually I sneeze like nonstop in dry AC room during cold days. This has helped a lot. It looks a bit bigger than the photo, and heavier, since it's a 4L tank humidifier. I wish it could be slightly smaller. Overall, it's quite satisfactory.
Not sure, I usually leave it on. But I dont it's allowed to turn the light off once it's on.
Thanks for the info, it's very helpful. A few comments asked about this. I found that the light bulb icon and child lock are grouped together. A light tap turns the light on or off, while a long press activates/deactivates the child lock.

Is a steam humidifier an option for you? I got a Turbro Greenland humidifier a few weeks ago, very easy to use. Pour stilled water, and the steam will come out in around 20 minutes. And it's within your budget, I think [https://www.turbro.com/products/greenland-steam-warm-mist-humidifier](https://www.turbro.com/products/greenland-steam-warm-mist-humidifier)
It's great. Very easy to use and clean, no mineral buildup or something like that. The 4L tank can last for hours, so I usually add the water before bed, and let it run overnight. Set it to sleep mode, and no need to refill. It could be a life saver for me in dry AC room during winter
Here it is, I have the same one. But I'm not sure if they're available in EU. [https://www.turbro.com/products/greenland-steam-warm-mist-humidifier](https://www.turbro.com/products/greenland-steam-warm-mist-humidifier)
Steam humidifier is actually very easy to maintain. I got Turbro warm mist steam humidifier, it doesn't need filter, just make sure you use clean water.
