I like BOTH the Divine and Diablo tuning. They are DIFFERENT. Those cables are certainly not my cup of tea. They were immediately replaced as soon as I unboxed the sets. I also have the ET142...the versatility (nozzle tuning) of that set puts it in a different spot compared to ALL the others. I have others "older" planar and planar hybrids. The only one that doesn't hold up (to me) is the F1Pro.... especially when compared to the Divine. The issues (for me) of the F1 Pro can be managed with EQ and tip rolling.
What’s your setup look like now? I’m using the 7hz Divine in arc raiders and it has decent imaging. Also just order the Kefine Delci AE which may be one of the best under $100 for gaming. I can update you about that one later this weekend.
My favorite (but also my only planar IEM) is the Divine. The cable is trash so expect to buy a better one. Tripowin Zonie pairs well with it. The reason why I went with this one is because I bought into the hype of it not being a treble beast like most of the others. I was very impressed. Just know that they are a little on the large side and don’t have a wing for stability. https://preview.redd.it/f7ai905wt5dg1.jpeg?width=2742&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=894f0132004223be4c8ea5aef3e41388d270b7f7
I did try that. I do like bass but that seemed to be just too much for me, and too much into the mids. It’s an overall bassy, warm set compared to the Divine. I would consider the Divine a slight V shape or neutral depending on how you hear things. I think there may be other planar sets with more air but the Divine does a good job overall.
I’d look into getting the 7hz Divine or Tanchjim 4u instead. Sennheiser’s IEM lineup is unfortunately outclassed by many other IEMs these days. Both Divine and 4u have a very balanced signature similar to IE200 but with better tuned treble.
Always had headphones for gaming, astros, byerdynamic (MMX200),HyperX. jumped on the the IEM bandwagen and bought Crinacle's Daybreak (from the [Linsoul.de](http://Linsoul.de) website they are 146€) + a small DAC. Read on alot of places they are an awesome allrounder. Never changing again to headphones! sound is just much better, clearer, etc. Love my daybreaks (did buy Kbear07 eartips since i have very small earcanals apperantly and eartips can make or brake the sound) juust my 2 cents, GL!
My favourite planar is 7hz Divine
Theres only 1 iem by 7hz called Divine
Diablo and Divine are different words 7hz diablo isnt called 7hz divine
I wish divine got more attention. It's by far the best sounding planar IEM I've heard period.
I don't really do driver memes because believe it or not a lot of that impact actually lives in the treble region. Planars typically being peaky messes makes them not have impact, but diablo and divine with their smoothed treble have some of the best bass quality I've heard compared to other IEMs.
>diablo having so much bass and such a smoothed out treble makes it lose out on some of the characteristics of planars I love. I've had a similar issue, but I think diablo fits in the basshead niche. If you haven't already definitely try divine! It was quite a treat from the usual sphere that are planar IEMs I've found the impact to be fine for its price but I'd rather something like a symphonium meteor over it for bass. Happy listening!
7hz divine seems better.and btw, pinna activation reveals depth of sound.good pair of iems will surpass headphones and 7hz divine is one the best rated gaming iems, not much for music tho.its harman.
20 dollar iems are not better than 200 dollar headphones, anyone who's saying it has used good iems and bad headphones. but there is indeed some truth to it, iems give THE BEST bang for your buck till a certain price point. But after that diminishing returns hits hard and other things start taking over. about the best price to performance iem, i'd say that's a tough call. I'd personally say it depends on what you're looking for. The Kiwi Ears Astral at 300 dollars is near endgame for iems, and i put loads of value in that. But for the most amount of quality for dollar, something like the 7hz divine, tanchjim fission, crinear daybreak or aful explorer will come to mind. Maybe even the Truthear Hexa/Pure if you want to go down a tier. And im still amazed that super duper cheap stuff can still be great, samsung's akg buds, moondrop chu 2/other iems in the price point like the wan'er, are excellent choices still and for the price are no brainers. But about the best deals in audio: in general, till 300 dollars iems give exceptional value. After that, Hifiman headphones reign supreme and till 1k usd they're excellent choices. And DAC/Amps are cheaper than ever, you can get perfect dacs at 30-ish dollars now with good power for headphones, like the TRN Black Pearl. The Topping DX3 Pro+ and DX5 II are great for "unlimited power" use cases, DX5 II is a balanced amp with a screen and eq, dx3 is cheaper with less power and no balanced architecture. And speakers are better than they've ever been, making more expensive and iems look like scams. A low-end calibrated KEF Q11 Meta will make any iem look bad and i prefer my Adam D3V desktop speakers to my HE1000 V2 Stealth for the most part. So yeah, loads of peak value available in different categories and price points and we're lucky to be living in this time.
just get anything that is comfy and sounds good. If you've got a monitor those should be your main tools. IEMs and headphones arent reliable for mixing unless you know them inside out. Will take a year of constant listening and mixing to get to studio monitor levels of accuracy with your iems but you can get there. At that price point i'd just go for the 7hz divine, crinear daybreak or aful explorer and call it a day.
I heard Divine at Cap Audiofest and it was very good
I would probably say ziigaat horizon, maybe get a used set. You could resell it if you don’t like. You could also try timeless. Crin came out with a new planar at $150, Divine, which is tuned very well but I didn’t think it was holographic. It kind of gave me wall of sound vibes. Oh came back to say you could get a used Dusk for about $200-$220 and that does the treble presentation pretty well, especially if you can EQ, you would unlock all the crin tunings and if you want more separation you could adjust the treble on that set.
Got all 5 that I wanted Crinear DayBreak Tanchjim Origin 7hz Crinacle Divine, Tanchjim Fola Tanchjim Fission Black $500 total I really like single DDs they’re my endgame. I just dabble in multi driver but honestly I’m ready for kilobuck on that front.
